nice dude! You will surely enjoy it.
I have a cool tournament set up for 6 players. If you are interested. It allows for all skill levels to play.
Let me know and I can email you the seatings chart and the directions.
Got my table today, the Olhausen Americana and I love it, trust me when I say that the room dimensions are fine, I did not use a short cue once 13ft is fine, when its close you just have to lift the cue up and you are fine.
I am finishing a room and it will be 13foot 1 by 16foot whatever because the length will be open ended, I will be fine for a 7 foot table but I was curious if anyone had any experience would it be possible to get an 8 foot table?
I have a room 12x15 and got a 7' Brunswick Highlander in Oak and use 52" cues and it's great. If you have an extra foot in each dimension beyond my room, as long as you're not much taller than 6', 52" cues are absolutely fine for shooting and you can probably just fit an 8' table. Tape out the size of the table on the floor, buy a cheap 52" cue and see how it feels. If you lay the cue on the ground with the butt of the cue touching the wall, as long as the tip of the cue isn't overlapping the playing surface, you're in good shape. You'll also get a feel for the 52" cue and know if you're too tall for it. Remember, when the cue ball is on the wall, you're almost always going to slightly elevate your cue anyway, so it'll buy you a few inches to draw the cue back.
