check out http://www.live.com/cashback. I'm still waiting on $180 that you reminded me to go complain about. The first $500 or so had no problem, though.

Just to clarify, my purchase looked like a duplicate, and was probably handled manually in that week where all of the refunds got screwed up. I'm sure I'll get paid, just need to remind them. It's a great program for big ticket purchases, or on products where they don't offer discounts like Ipods.

See if this works: Go to livesearch.com, log in to your account, search using key words "garmin nuvi," livesearch.com would suggest e-bay with 14% discount link. Click on it, and you will be on e-bay page. Once on e-bay, search anything else you like that has "buy it now" option. You should see green $ sign and cash-back related note.

Ok....this is nuts...Click in your address bar at the top of your open IE browser window and type www.live.com

You will get this:
http://www.live.com/

Then in the open search box in the middle of the page type the words "TOSHIBA XA2" and press the "enter" key on your computer

When the results download please note the very first result which should read:

Toshiba xa2 with a little live search cashback logo (and the words "live search cashback") next to it.

Click this result which will take you to the Cash Back ebay results. Then you are in the Cash Back "mode" and can search ebay for ANY cash back items.

I just did it twice tonight and bought many cash back live items in the past using the same method.

This just has to work for you....I don't get it.

I was never able to get the ebay cashback to work using the normal methods described above. I copied this link from one of the prior threads. Only way I can get it to work on my computer.

That is interesting. So literally what happens if you go through the steps I provided above? What results does live.com provide?

best,

Only way I got it to work was to click on Cal's link above (I was logged in the live account at the time, but not sure if that matters) and then search for what I was looking for.

Are you guys clicking on Buy-It-Now auctions. I'm pretty sure those were the only auctions that this applied to the first time out.

You still have to get the live cashback icon to show up first. Then you go to buy-it-now. I just completed a purchase this morning and it worked by clicking on cals link above and going from there.

Yeah, I've never had any problems. Just curious why others did. I bought an Onkyo 875 refurb around the holidays with a 10% off Ebay Coupon + 30% cash back (to the $200 max). Way more receiver than I need, for less money than a far inferior unit.

This cashback is awesome. I scored several months ago on home theater seating with a rebate of $390, and even more than that on miscelanious items.
Now I just got more cashback on sconce lights for my bathroom, and bass traps for my theater.
Now the rebate is down to 11%, but I'll take that instead of nothing. I keep watching it, thinking it's gonna shoot up to 30% again, but I think those days are over.

you will probably see 30% or so around the chrismas shopping season. Especially this year, with the economy in such bad shape expect a lot of good deals.

Need to catch the ebay 30% off fast though, because otherwise all the popular items(like game consoles, and projectors) would be bought out right away, and the newly listed ones will be much more expensive as demand shoots up and supply goes down.
