Hey all...new to this area and I've been reading about the newegg deals using bing and all. As I bing a 3007 for example the price shown is $1265 but when taken to the Newegg site it shows a price of $1499. Do you have to catch it just right to get the lower price to match on Newegg.

Thanks
Ron

okron, Newegg seems to be having the lower prices on Onkyo AVRs on the weekend, and pushes the price back up during the week.

I had my bing 5% cancelled, but my entire order was placed on hold due to my cc not being authorized to ship to my work address. I assume the 2 are not related based on CCONKLIN1's comment. If anyone actually has their Bing 5% stick, please post as such. Thank you.

Has anyone else ordered one from this vender? I ordered mine on Monday (well actually the Friday before, but I had to authorize my work address with my cc) and it still has not shipped. They now tell me that it will ship in 24-48 business hours, which could mean Monday or Tuesday or it could mean as late as Friday depending on how you interpret 48 business hours (only 8 business hours per day M-F, 0 business hours per day on Sat or Sun). I knew that had a 7-10 day delivery policy when I ordered, but this likely puts it way beyond that, especially if it does not ship until late next week, because then we run into Thanksgiving holiday, so I could easily be looking at Monday the 30th or the first few days of December before delivery. At any rate, the few dollars saved over a Newegg weekend price is not worth it (at least not for my order), so I have instructed them to cancel if it does not ship today, which is the likely outcome. For anyone else who ordered through these guys, if you have not yet received a tracking number, that means it has not shipped. Do what you will with this knowledge.

So you ordered on Monday (technically) and it will ship by next Monday? seems very reasonable and in line with a 7-10 business day delivery window...
But having Bing canceled, I would have gone via newegg. Bing is soooooo hit or miss. sometimes I get Bing canceled for no reason and then there was twice where I got Bing money for orders I canceled! $222 worth... go figure..

I have used them in the past for about $10,000 in appliances, and they were what I would consider a honest vendor. I did not use them for the Onkyo receiver because I did not know about the deal when I purchased (from NewEgg). With prices this low, you kind of have to expect some delays in shipping (within reason). One week is IMO within an acceptable range to get the shipping process started. You have to factor in the fact that a lot of these places either cannot stock or they drop-ship to keep these prices that low. If you want it today, go to Fry's and pay full price...

With that being said, I ordered from NewEgg and had it in my hands in 4 days. I was shocked it came that quickly and would have been satisfied to get it in 10-14 days.

I think 6 business days to start the shipping process is long, but if they get it to me in 10 business days, that is fine and within the shipping terms. What threw me was the use of the ambiguous term 24-48 business hours when they told me it would ship 24-48 business hours from today (which is already the 5th business day after ordering). 24-48 business hours does not necessarily mean 1-2 business days. In fact, as a wordsmith by trade, I would argue that 24-48 business hours = 3-6 business days. Remember, that is to ship, not to receive, so assuming ground of 3-5 business days, it will be tight at best to receive within 10 business days.

I am totally with you. I want my toys and I want them NOW! I am totally spoiled by Amazon Prime when I have crap I ordered the next day. Sometimes though, we do have to wait and it blows, especially when you want to play with your new toy! Hope you enjoy yours as much as I have been! Unlike some I have not had any issues (yet). But I am now sure I just jinxed myself with that!
Best,
Chris

Well, I just hope I get it before Black Friday, because if it ends up being cheaper on Black Friday at Newegg and I still have not received it from US Appliance... well let us just say that I will be quite put out.

On top of the waiting (which I agree blows), after I receive it, I won't even be able to hook it up in its intended configuration until after I test it for a while somewhere else. The reason is that I will be using it mostly as a pre/pro and will only be using a few of the onboard amps (for the front highs). Since one of the problems people have been having are onboard amp-related, I will have to thoroughly test it as an AVR instead of a pre-pro until I am satisfied that I did not get a bad one.

I just received an email from US Appliance. The item shipped today, but is not scheduled for delivery until November 25th (i.e., the day before Thanksgiving), which is 13 business days from the date of order. Further, it is coming by a not so common carrier that I have never heard of. My experience with carriers other than UPS, FedEX and USPS is that if you are supposed to get something the day before a holiday... good luck. This would mean there is a very good chance that it would not arrive until Monday the 30th. I am cancelling and will try my luck with Newegg.

These coupons appear to still be working.
Anyone care to share their experiences with ordering from this company as well as the receiver itself?
I'm worried about the audio dropouts that I'm reading about...

About to pull the trigger at US Appliance, coupon still in effect.
Found this: Not sure how old this is......

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ's)
I am experiencing audio (Sound) dropouts when watching a Dolby Digital broadcast from my Satellite or Cable Box that is connected to my receiver with the digital optical or the coax connection.

We have been working with Dolby Laboratories on a repair for the Dolby Digital broadcast issue that occurs with digital cable systems as well as digital satellite broadcast. We are aware of the issues that have affected our receivers with the newer version of broadcast encoding that Dolby Laboratories has been using. We have since had success with a new version of chipset that we have installed in each of the receiver models that have been affected. The models that are found to have the problems are the TX-DS595, TX-DS696, TX-DS797 and the TX-DS898. If you own one of these units while using any form of Dolby Laboratories Digital broadcast and are experiencing the audio dropouts and would like to have the issue resolved, please check our website for your nearest authorized service location. Take the unit to them with your bill of sale, at that point please call us at 800-229-1687 and select option 2 for our product support team. We will assist having the unit repaired for you.

Best,
Chris

I agree with CCONKLIN1 on his experience ordering from US Appliance. They are somewhat slow shipping and could do a better job of notifying customers of the back order status of products. Other than that everything went well. The coupons are still in effect as I just received my nr5007 within the last week and a half.

On another not I did not receive the Bing discount. I contacted Bing support and they stated that they had no record of my transaction. Even after I sent them the invoice as requested they still said they could not find the purchase trail and canceled the discount hope this helps.

For the record this site is exceptional as it relates to information, member knowledge and hard to find discounts.

Watch those re-stock and cancellation fees, though, if you change your mind.

I pulled the trigger on a 3007 from US Appliance this past Monday.
They still have not updated my order, yahoo screen still shows the order info field blank.
How long did it take for them to email you with shipping info?

As far as Cash Back, I did a print screen while the "Your purchase on eligible products during this visit to US Appliance will earn you %2to %5" screen was superimposed over the US Appliance website and saved it to a MS Paint file.
Might work for proof.
