1st post, pretty sure this is a good deal, regular at $599. Then they give you $300 off when you enter promo code 'EMCNJJN77'. At $299, that is a good deal!

It ends on Jan 16

Fry's has them for 240 each, plus shipping, putting them around $500 shipped. Just a heads up in case anyone's on the fence.

They were available for ship when i posted earlier. I found the deal on slickdeals yesterday, i suppose this is what they call the slickdeals effect. That is they are gone before you know it.

These things are incredible, just helped my co-worker/friend set them up, gave them a break in period while we grabbed dinner, WOW! What a set of speakers for $560-600/delivered.

Now, I've got the itch, and want to go for this. My only issue, is I run a 7.1 system. I want to replace the front 3 first (LCR), and then the reat 4 at a different time. I can't seem to find a deal on anything other than the floorstading speakers. I certainly don't want to pay more for the Motion FX than I do the Motion 12!

I cannot run floorstanders anywhere other than the front right and left. Any suggestions on where to get a nice deal on the Motion C, FX, and 4? Or maybe I will run two sets of the FX for surround and side channels.

I've been running the 12's and an 8 up front, and 4's (rear) w/ a sub and now that their breaking in nicely, all I've been pondering is what another set of 4's or the fx's might do in sides!! Well, that and considering upgrading the the Motion 8 to the C.
But for this price I might get a set of 10's and hang em on the Wall!!

Orded last night. 500.00 in three days at my door.

Next is the receiver. Thinking about the Onxyo NR616 or do I need more power?

MartinLogan Motion 12 deserve a better amp/avr, onkyo 818 would be nice. The 616 is just ok, but you will be soon looking to upgrade, so it's a better value to get the 818 now..

Yeah, I looked at the 818 but it was over 1k. There has to be a point where you decide how much do you want to put into a system.

If you read general-great-found-deals you find that anyone can easly buy a onkyo 818 for well under $700 if you just wait for a sale, which is very often, once or twice a month these days..

Yeah I'm learning to navigate this site. I thought I was getting a good deal on the Yamaha. I'm more of a mid range kind of guy.

I think you did good with the Yamaha. These days I'd be afraid of anything that said Onkyo on it.

I got them for $225 each shipped from newegg recently and love them. Right now they are $299 each shipped with $70 off promo code. Don't miss out!

Why go out to a movie theater?

All the super good reviews on these has me contemplating buying them to replace my Rocket Towers I have for a long time.

Wish the local BB-Magnolia still had them to go listen to/try out.

Mine came today, after taxes they were just shy of $500, I'm way excited. I got the motion 8 for the center which also sounds great. And I'm putting definitive technology mythos twos for the rear. Only thing I'm not fond of with the motion 12's is the the top all around is speaker cloth. The bottom is way solid and heavy but the top is pretty cheap IMO.
