Audioholics retail store in Atlanta should give you a walk in NIB for $1299 plus tax. Talk to them.

Just called EE, ready to buy a 4311 and they said that the $1329 "promotion" ended "Monday or Tuesday" and the best price they could give was $1440. Sure seems convenient that I missed it by 1 day and that the price would go UP on a soon to be discontinued model.

Has anyone purchased one recently from EE or elsewhere for $1329?

Yeah I purchased one Friday that came to $1400 total with shipping. Figured it was still a decent deal but guy I spoke with was a bit of an idiot. I was more eager to just get off the phone.

Are you guys not trying audioholics also? They're an authorized dealer and as mentioned through this thread they've matched the $1299 price several times. But you have to call them on the phone to get it.

What happened to all of the $1299 shipped prices? Or is this $1367+ the new going price?

nevermind..

Going to keep an eye on this thread as I think this is the receiver I want to purchase.

I saw the post on slickdeals about the 4311 at EE for like $1200, and tried that same coupon code and it did bring the price down to around $1370 as someone mentioned above. that is the best I've seen it recently.

EE has a couple coupons at anytime:
GRANDSLAM
EXPLODE

Try either. Also, calling in and asking for Vince or one of the other reps who have sold it for less would be happy to help. In fact Vince was who I used...I just happen to return it for the 3312................................

Why did you return it for the 3312

I got the 3312 for half the street price of the 4311. XT32 was the big differentiator, and I don't have 'great' speakers to make a big impact, anyway. XT is great, and I'm sure XT 32 of the 4311 is awesome, but twice the cost was hard to justify. I'm a best-value kind of guy, not best of best.

At that price he should wait for the denon 4520ci wink.gif Even the most modest speakers will sound better with a better AVR.

Anyway 3312 had we everything except xt32...great 650 spent

What will sound better?
1. $1500 speaker set and $300 receiver or
2. $1500 receiver and $300 speaker set?

I think MOST would agree #1 is the way to go..
Not judging, just pointing out some basics.
Not judging, just shocked!

I might guilty of that offense- I use my 4311 with Radio Shack LX5II speakers that retailed for $150 (but were almost always on sale for $75). Got
11 of them running along with my Infinity ssw212 dual 12" sub.
I think it sounds pretty good!

Actually, I think a lot of us would say that you probably wouldn't be able to notice much of a difference because the speakers are most likely not going to be able to take advantage of the better receiver. Now, if the $1500 receiver is being purchased anticipating upgrading the speakers, then the purchase makes a lot more sense.
