I believe that is the lowest price thus far as they are clearing stock for 2012 models. I was looking for onkyo NR609 so I have not read about 1121 k. How does it compare? Is pioneer better? (room correction aside).

Onkyo or Denon is the AVR-Home Theater way to go...

And, of course, I just got my VSX-1021-K a month ago for $50 less than this. Sigh...

Oh, well, we must learn to be happy with what we have, right?

Got the pioneer. $399 out the door. Seems like a lot of receiver for the money.

Room correction aside (audessey mic setup) I would have taken the VSX 1121 over my NR709 at this price considering I payed $520 shipped for my 709 new... the only thing I would say that the 609 has on the 1121 is that the 609 went for around $300-$350 during Christmas/Black Friday so it was cheaper. I think the 709 is more comparable feature-wise to the 1121 than the 609 is. For $400 the 1121 is an amazing deal though.

A quick ACTUAL comparison and not my oppinion:

^ thanks, I think this is a helluva receiver. I set it up for couple hours as my dedicated room is not ready yet. in comparison to my onkyo 605, this is a beast. Bigger, heavier and more powerful.
