Can you get a Costco item number? I called a local Costco by me and they don't have any pioneer receivers and the guy asked for the item number like 5 times for reference. I think it's a real good deal and I would like to get myself one... If I can get the Costco item number.
Thanks for the item number... turns out there is only 1 store in the entire state of Illinois that has them (and they just got them in today). I picked myself up one. I think this is a GREAT deal as this is the same item as the SC-65 (just missing the Elite label) that people are paying $999.99 for at Best Buy. I can't wait to set it up. Thanks!!
Just got one in Oregon. Came in today. I had an open box vsx-53 ($415) and sc-63 ($660) and returned them both for the 1522. This is a killer deal with a sc-65 at $400 less than Best Buy! Thanks OP!
So are they in the stores only? but just not on line? If they were on line I could get a price match somewhere, but I have not seen it on line anywhere.

Just picked up one at the Costco West Sacramento, CA. They started the day at 12 when I called this morning to put one on hold.
Two of my friends each went and picked one up today. By the time I got there at 4:00 they were down to 5. It seems like it's hit or miss as far as which Costco's have them. Thankfully I only had to drive 50 miles to get mine...
I just bought a new Onkyo in January but this was just too good of a deal to pass up...
WOW Thanks OP! I called my Costco (Maple Grove, MN) yesterday when they opened and they just got 16 in. 16 seems to be the amt that each store is getting.
I got there around 1pm and they had 14 left. This is an insane deal. I don't think they are going to last very long.
Upgraded my Denon 1910 and this receiver blew it away.
I just saw this model at my local Costco today and was googling around and it led me here. Is this a really strong bang for buck option vs whatever else is out there? Do these models tend to review well and have a long problem free lifetime?
Just checked Pioneer website. Costco is not an authorized Pioneer dealer. So no warrenty through Pioneer on this.
