I just purchased a new Yamaha rxv-773 at Newegg for $515 ( including tax). I was going to buy the 673 for $399 but impulse bought this one. It has many features I will probably never use. I hope this is a good deal. Oh--Newegg has a $320 off promo code good till 3/28 ---EMCXTVV84. Cheers.

I just got one of these, can you tell me what the advantage of the pre outs is. I have a pair of 4 ohm speaker (compatible with 6 and 8 ohm). Would I want to use a pre out to a 4 ohm amplifier (like a 2 channel emotiva) to power those speakers? The rest of my speakers are 8 ohm speakers.

to add a external amplifier(s) so you can deliver more power to the speakers...if needed. all depends on what speakers you have and how power hungry they are.
