How do these compare to the Energy Take Classic?

Build quality better on the micros but more frequency range on the takes - they would be better with a budget subwoofer.

Energy RC70 L/R | RC-LCR Center | C-R3 Surrounds | VMINI Bookshelves Surrounds | S12.3 and Dual S10.3 Subs | KRK 10s Sub | Benq w1070 pj | Elite 100" Sable Screen | SONY STR-DN1030| Sony S5100 and S3100 BDPs

I've listened to both. Get the take 5. Has better range. Micros are way too small, and need a sub that can cover atleast from 120hz down onwards. Take 5, can easily blend with subs from 80hz on.

I don't think the Takes go down to 80hz. The ones I had sure didn't.

Correct. The center channel goes down to 110Hz, the satellites to 115Hz. I personally set the XO at 120Hz.

Agreed, I have both the Take and the Micros - I much prefer the sound of the Takes when both are paired with the same sub.
