This amp just went on sale today. It was $2800 yesterday. This is a KILLER deal. Get to it before they are gone (and never coming back).

This amp is 4 ohm stable at 550w x 7. Uses a 3.3kVA transformer. eek.gif

How well has it been reviewed? I'm considering it for a long term investment.

Cool, just picked one up. Don't know how I'm going to get all 100# of that thing into my rack, but it's going to be good once I get a new 20 amp circut installed. Darn this hobby.

I have 3 dedicated 20 amp circuits and one 15 amp circuit at my rack. Just set one of the 20 amp circuits aside for this one?

I kept thinking of a reason not to order it.

A bit of an impulse buy in a way, as I was not looking to add an amp, but I believe it is one that for the next 10-20 years I'm set with.

I have a Denon 3311 and was looking to upgrade to the 4000. I may just wait til next year and get something that will do 11.2 with Audyssey XT32

Are there are prepros that are 11.2 with XT32 that people would suggest?

Marantz AV8801 is the only preamp that I know of, but some of the upper end Denon receivers will.

$999 with shipping included. Considering the fact that the box will be over 100 lbs, it is crazy.

Fortunately I got one immediately yesterday when I saw the post. Also I got the PRE-1 Preamplifier but don't know
if it is any good? I haven't used preamplifier before and will need some studying on how to hook it up.
BTW, the PA7150 is still available and I think it is well worth the price too.

That second part is interesting, though. Does that mean they will get another shipment of everything?

Looks like it might be worth check back frequently...

Called this morning. Spoke with a very nice salesman that let me pre-purchase one that will be on their next shipment(Aug. 30). Trout I'd pass this along for anyone still wanting one.

Anyone have reviews on this amp? I can't seem to find any?

It seems like a no brainer (mega-power for less than a grand).

BTW --- for a whole-home zone amp I picked up the Sherbourn PA 12-45 for $250 shipped. Great for my new house what will be wired with in ceiling speakers in the deck, dining room and kitchen. I figured for $250 -- how wrong could I go?

I also pre ordered one over the phone. They said that as of now they expect to receive around 60 units. They just started taking pre orders this morning. They are making a first come first served list. I am pretty much guaranteed a unit so I cancelled the order for my back up plan which was the PA 150-7. A great amp to be sure but if I can have the extra headroom for this price I will take it.

Here is one from audioholics. http://www.audioholics.com/amplifier-reviews/sherbourn-pa-7-350-seven-channel-amplifier-preview

They have such a great reputation that I am not hesitating.

And I already have an Emotiva XPA-5 so I don't really even need this. Just too good to pass up though. Right now I have high sensitivity speakers that are easily driven but you never know what will happen in the future so now I will be set for awhile if I end up with speakers that have moderate sensitivity.

That's me too. I'm guessing (hoping) that with the flood of orders they had yesterday, it will just take a while to get caught up. I had order #13xx in the AM when I place my order. I went back later in the afternoon and got order #15xx.

Well all of AVS must be calling -- I called 4 times before I got through. And I still didn't speak to a rep -- they are supposed to call me back. Sure hope they do.

Given that may current mains are only rated to 200 watts (B&W CDM-9NTs) and my current center and surrounds are only rated to 120 watts, I am not sure I need 350 watt/ch. But I guess the name of the game is dynamic headroom right?

Well -- I am on the list.

We'll see if I can get one of these 350s.

BTW -- I asked if any more PA 18-45s (whole home amp) were coming in, the rep (Chad -- very nice guy) said probably not. So I am sticking with my PA 12-45 for whole home use in my new place.
