I live in Los Angeles almost every store has the denon 2113ci clearances for $350. This can only be found via each individual store by searching best buys new clearance feature. Type you zip and search the stores.

For anyone in the west valley of LA, the Northridge store has a 1913 ($277), 1613 ($199), and a 1513 ($169). Sherman Oaks lists the 1713 ($188), and three 1513's (@ $211!!).

To view inventory for several stores in the area, instead of going one by one. Visit the mobile best buy store: http://m.bestbuy.com/m/e/digital/

1. Click on the 3 horizontal lines icon on the top right, to the left of the search icon
2. Select Deals > In-Store Clearances and Open Box
3. Enter you zip code
4. Select In-Store Clearance OR Open Box
5. Audio & MP3
6. Home Audio
7. Narrow Results Button (Top Right)
8. Choose Brand then Continue button
9. Profit!

Been doing this for weeks and have been able to scoop up some goodies. Pioneer FS52 towers open box for $70/each open box, like-new condition. Denon 1713 for $200 clearance brand-new, these normally $240 on clearance. Lowest I have seen for a new 2113 is $320 although rare.

I found one Denon 1913 open box at a Best Buy marked 146.99 in Michigan and got an extra $20 off for opening a BB charge card. It was in excellent condition no scratches, and sounds great. The mic and remote were still in the original packaging. The day before I just missed a 1713 for 169.99. Looks like BB is blowing out all their old Denons.

I caught a glimpse of a 3313ci for $717 but I'm not sure their prices are consistent.

Excellent deal on the 1913!
Much better deal than you would get at A4L for a refurb

They have an open box X3000 at one of my local stores, but they are asking $749 for it, so it's cheaper to buy new elsewhere.

For folks that have been scouring Best Buy clearance online in search of a deal, note that after navigating to your store's clearance items, you can now select "Shop All Area Stores" rather than simply switching to a different store.

Where in NM?

I live in Albuquerque and there's a bunch on deals on the Best Buy store here. 77, to be precise.

So today I went to go pick up my 1713 for $200 that was available via in-store pick up for a week now. After waiting around 45 minutes, turns out they lost it! It was the last 1713 in stock! I told them I drove extra 45 minutes to this location just for this item. I was calm and respectful the entire time. They offered a E300 for the same price and I said that I really need the Audussey MultiEQ XT feature and that the E300 is vanilla version + entry level. I ended up convincing them to sell me the 2113CI (brand-new) for the $200 price!!!!!

I am a happy man! I actually used to work at Best Buy and completely forgot you can always negotiate clearance/open box prices with the managers, especially last years models. You guys should try to negotiate the 2113CI down to $280-300.

I actually meant NM but am from northern MI. I made a mistake on how the system was actually working. I don't think I hit the Shop Now button or something and was also trying TV & Home Theater rather than Audio. Bottomline was that I wasn't getting any results.

See an open box Yamaha RX-V473BL receiver for $158.99. Is this a good deal? This will be my first receiver so looking for something entry-level, somewhat future proof and of course, a smokin' deal.

Last year I picked up its predecessor - a RX-V471BL for $118 as a close out at a local regional chain appliance store. Turned out to be a good deal and very reliable but was eventually pushed aside a few months ago to get a refurb Denon with Audyssey for about twice the price. I wouldn't choke at the $40 difference if it otherwise meets your needs.

Wow!! Just got home with my brand new Yamaha RX-V673 7.2 channel AVR for $200!! This was an "open box" deal I found using the info on this thread. I got there and they pulled it from the back and the box was still factory sealed so it had never even been out of the box. Some poor sap must have brought it home, the finance committee yelled at him, and he brought it back for a refund of his $600 bucks. The BB guy just kept smirking and shaking his head at what a good deal I was getting. He said he wished he could buy it for himself.

It really pays to search the open box and clearance section as outlined above in this thread. Thanks guys!! biggrin.gif

Thanks to this thread, I'm picking up a Denon 1913 later today for $122 +tax.  Not exactly what I was wanting, but saving like $300 for 95% of the features is perfectly fine with me!

Thanks guys!

Now to find some speakers with this saving, lol
