How do those monitors compare to the rti or tsi line???

tsi and monitors are essentially the same, with the tsi series being a bit prettier to look at. both are a step below the rti a series but are decent budget speakers.

^^ This just know if you buy polk's they have awesome mids but must be paired with a good sub for best sound effect

Thanks, I'm new to the audio world and it gets really confusing when all these manufacturers have different speakers at the same price range. I'll be on the look out for the rti a5,. still deciding between polk n klipsch (i love the look of klipsch rf), i just got an onkyo 818 for 650 so I feel like I'm off to a pretty decent start

yup will do. i was planning on getting towers first and then adding a sub n center a month or two down the road
