I grabbed one too. I was wondering if anyone has worked on the picture at all. I would love to compare settings.

I found that my picture was really washing out when there was a lot of white in the backround. It was really annoying. The picture actually look foggy at times. I found the turning on adaptive contrast in the advanced settings eliminated that. Here are my other settings :
Backlight 36
Brightness 35
Contrast 47
Color 38
Tint R5
Sharpness 50

I am much happier with these settings. The picture is much more realistic. I think there is still room for improvement but its much better than how it came out of the box..

The pixels would look too big with 1920x1080 39" display for a desktop monitor. The 39" Seiki 4K is a big seller for a 4K monitor with 3840x2160 display that cost $404.56 with free shipping today on Amazon.

Hi,
I've bought and returned the Insignia set, but while I had it I tried the settings posted here. This TV as a monitor is not acceptable IMO due to the crappy looking text, my 40" Samsung blows it away.
However I did manage to get it looking good so here are my settings for those who might like to use it for normal AV duty...

Regards,
Dan

I purchased this TV as well for $249 and like it although i cannot seem to get the picture settings to where they look good. Most of the settings i have tried make the TV look to washed out. Does anyone have any updated picture settings they like that they are willing to share for this TV?

I bought one of these back in Nov for a new tv to run as a 2nd football screen, and us in the bedroom. Ive been happy with it especially for the price and the screen uniformity and PQ is good. Lets be honest, its no plasma but for what I use it for it looks good. I also bought a second roku stick and its MHL port works great IMO.

I put my meter on it and did some adjusting and these where the best settings I came up with.

Even with warm color temp its still too cool, I measure close to 8000k. For what I spent and using the roku stick, I have no complaints.

65" VT50 / BDT460
X4000 / Outlaw Model 7125
Klipsch RF82 II and RC62 II / Hsu VTF-15H (2)
Directv HR44-200 / HR24-500
