I've been shopping around for a new TV to replace my 8-year-old failed Pioneer PDP-4360HD. This was actually one of the model from my watch list. I went check it out yesterday at Amazon and the price actually dropped to $1202. I didn't hesitate and ordered it while the price lasts. And they still have a 14-day price guarantee in case the price drops again.
I have a scheduled delivery on Thursday morning so I'm looking forward to it
Mine's on order for the $1172. How do you like your's so far?
So far, so good! I have it mounted in my basement in the "game room". It's very light and thin. It looks practically frame-less against my wall.
It has a pretty good uncalibrated picture. The DLNA is a little flaky, but I have been able to stream local content to the TV (Mezzmo seems to work better than Plex Server). If you like the 240Hz smoothing, it works great here. The newer Netflix interface is used (which I like). Netflix has decent load and buffering times, but not as good as a separate box (i.e Roku 3). Pandora worked well.
The price of this unit's been fluctuating for the past 3 weeks or so. I ordered it at the price of $1266 but has seen dropped a few times and they can only do a one-time price match guarantee for me. I ended up getting a refund of $93 from their guarantee.
Just add it to your cart or the save it later function and keep checking. It'll tell you whenever you visit the shopping cart if there is any price change to it. Good luck!
