Thank you for the heads up. Ordered mine. Hope it is a reasonable upgrade from my Denon E400 (at least for the pre-outs). Or did I just do a lateral move? Any thoughts, anyone??

I just got the alert for that too. Seems like a smokin' deal for someone looking for a networked AVR. Is this model a 2012 or 2013?

Looks like a 2013 model. Amazon lists May 20, 2013 as first date available.
I really don't need this but so want it. I have a Yamaha receiver that is rated @ 95 Watts a channel at 8 ohms (not sure the output at 6 ohms) and this one is rated at 165 watts @ 6 ohms. Do you think the I would notice the wattage difference ? I just bought Pioneer speakers (6 ohms) and my Yamaha does not quite get loud enough for me. The Yamaha is loud but it's lacking headroom.

I'd love to pick it up too but I just got my Yamaha RX-V673 hooked up. What appeals to me about this Pioneer is the Class D amp design that runs much more efficient and cooler. I hate it when my cabinet feels like a sauna just knowing that all that heat is wasted energy that could be powering my speakers. If you feel like your Yamaha isn't up to the task of powering your setup then I would give this one a try. You can always sell your Yammie on local Craigslist. Are you running all 7 channels on the Yamaha?

My Yamaha is a RX-V867 and I only use 5.1.
I play bass guitar and class D amps are the hot thing now is bass amplification. I have a 1200W 4 ohm bass amp that weighs 5 lbs and hardly puts out any heat.

Well there you go. The amount of $$savings in utility charges alone might make this a worthwhile upgrade.

Joined AVS just so I could brag about getting in on this deal! J/k I've read posts here for years, just now joining to see if there's anything I can contribute. It's set to arrive on Wednesday. I'm coming from a failed-hdmi-but-repaired-under-warranty-OnkyoHT-RC270-but-UPS-broke-broke-it-on-it's-way-back-to-me-so-it-was-replaced-by-failed-SonySTR-DN1040-that-I-returned. Hopefully this Pioneer ends my search.

What failed on the 1040? Was trying to get a buddy of mine to get this deal yesterday but prior he was looking at the 1040. Thanks!

If I've leaned anything after getting into home theater is that your search is never over. Next you'll want new speakers to take advantage of that fancy new receiver, then a new display followed by a OPPO Darbee edition, and on, and on. Upgradeitis runs unchecked around these parts! Welcome to AVS

1040 had a handshake issue with other HDMI components (even with a PS3) but I knew it going in; I still went for it because not everyone was having the problem. It worked ok for a week, and then started acting up every couple of days. I printed out the return authorization 2 days before the return window expired, Sony accepted it a week later. More details in my Amazon review of the 1040 dated 17 Dec, under my same username

I got in on this to replace my Onkyo whatever. The Onkyo had a failing HDMI board and I got it repaired just before the warranty expired. The new board worked about a month and started having the same issue. I got tired of turning my TV off and back on in order to get it working.

So far the SC-1323-K is working like a champ. Any recommendations on settings? I'm outputting to a Vizio XVT553SV (55-Inch Class Full Array TruLED with Smart Dimming LCD HDTV 240 Hz SPS) and have 5.1 speakers as well as stereo speakers on my deck (tied to Zone 2.)

You will have a good chance at a response if you ask in one of the threads for Pioneer receivers or just start a new thread.

Just got mine installed replacing the VSX-9040. It was an awesome deal. I mainly use external amps for movies and a Polk surroundbar powered by the receiver for general TV viewing.

With a sweet deal like that they probably cleared their stock. They're all on fleaBay now for much more $$ :-P
