Transducer/amp deal

Just got a free Dayton ASA150 amp with 4 aura transducers. Also can use SAVE5 for $5 off. Total was 178 I believe.

Got a call from PE this morning. They said it was a mix up and the deal was really 1 free transducer with the purchase of the dayton amp. They are not honoring the advertised deal because it was a mistake.

Same for me. Although they did offer a $50 credit towards a future purchase.

I still want 4 transducers so if I take advatage of the free transducer with purchase of the dayton 150w amp and subtract the $50 credit it works out to about $257.

Boomassiv suggested the Dayton Audio SPA250 250 Watt Subwoofer Plate Amplifier to me so if I do that instead it works out to about $310 for 4 transducers and a 250W amp.

Hmmmm what to do?

Good luck getting any web site to honor these things. Not like in a brick and mortar store. I've gotten some good deals when sales associates have messed up with pricing signs in stores.

Maybe I'll do the same and just get two of the transducers and the smaller amp. It's still a good deal. Can always upgrade later!

I'd get the bigger amp. I got the 250 for mine and the gain needs to be a bit higher to get them moving. I only tested 1 at a 4 ohm load though.

They screwed up an ebay order for me last week too. Their website seems good, but I was pissed about the ebay thing.
It is what it is.

Ah I was going to go with near field subs but since SI didn't see my email about changing my order I will just go with 4 of these. Ordered the 150 amp and will order the three other transducers when I get my $50 credit. (At least they did that )
