BB has Denon AVR4520ci for $1500 daily deal 8/25/14

This is a screaming deal in my opinion. I've had this amp for 2+ years replacing a trusty, but dated, B&K pushing B&W 804s mains in a Stereo + HT application. I've not found it lacking in any performance category for the $2400 I paid for it. BB has it on sale for $1500. Gotta to be the best audiophile investment of the day.

Beat me to it.

Amazon seems to keep some of their prices in lockstep with the B&M

I've had this receiver and the Elites in my radar for quite some time.
Not quite ready to pull the trigger yet but still an outstanding value for the price!

BB has had the price of $1599( in store only) for weeks for the 4520

this is only $100 savings over that

However they do have 10% back in BB reward points( until Sept 6)....so that is another $150 back in points

i didn't realize bestbuy had it on sale other than $2000 price a few weeks ago. I get taxed with bestbuy and amazon so i'll probably go with bestbuy for easier returns (instore). Was debating which receiver to get but at this price I think i'll take this over the yamaha 2040 or marantz 7008.

also, if you've moved recently you should have gotten a 10% off coupon for bestbuy. Knocks the price down even further

Edit: i guess if the deal ends tonight forget about getting a better deal with the coupon tomorrow

The Denon AVR4520ci doesn't have Audyssey Sub EQ HT.
So I'll continue waiting for the X4000 model to go on sale.

As far as I know -- other than the Onkyo 818 -- every Audyssey XT32 enabled AVR or processor has SubEQ HT. It's too bad the manufacturers have done a poor job of marketing and documenting that fact.

BTW -- as I understand it the reason the 818 does not have SubEQ HT is because it does not actually have two independently controlled sub outs. Basically the two sub out jacks on that unit are connected via a y-connector internally (<--chinzy).

The Pioneers Elite have this also. Just a Y connector inside. Two subs connectors, but not independent control.

All 3 are nice units but, just curious what your reason's are for going with the 4520 over the 7008?

Disregard this question, I realized after posting it that it has already been covered many times over
