Just ordered one. Have been looking for a decent cleaner for a while but have cringed when looking at pricing. This value made it a whole lot easier to handle. Just happened find the thread. Thanks guys!

I ordered mine on Thursday and received it on Friday (yesterday). It was not double boxed though it appeared new in the box. A huge difference it has made as to audio and also video in my moviegameatorium.

So, how many of you who have this product think that you hear an improvement in sound quality? Or video quality for that matter?

My house has two furnaces and a large fish tank running among other things; so my setup may have been affected by power noise. The sound quality has definitely improved as the sound is much more clear. As for picture quality, the images on both my Samsung HLS5088 and Mitsu HD1000u appear brighter and cleaner. I am glad I stumbled across this thread. Even my wife noticed in getting ex post facto WAF.

Joe

I can tell the difference in sound with my Denon 3803 . It seems as there is a difference in the midrange almost less noise ? Or different anyway. Johnathan

I'm the "Thread Cooler" ! When I post that usually kills interest in the thread.

Well, I agree with you guys. I have always been quite skeptical about power conditioners improving sound or picture quality. I have to say that I really do seem to notice an improvement in my SQ. The best way for me to describe it is improved clarity and dynamics. I was not expecting this at all.

I can't say that I notice an improvement in picture quality, but then again my projector is ceiling mounted and is not plugged into the PF60.

I'm definitely happy with this purchase, especially at this price.

Well, I contacted Shop.com and told them what had happened when I contacted ecost and they took care of it right away. I will ship the unit back to ecost and e-mail shop.com the shipping total and they will refund the cost of the unit plus the shipping. They are sending me a new unit plus they also took off an extra $20 for the inconvenience. I was not happy with ecost, but shop.com came through very well.

That's good to know! Shop.com = good, ecost = not so good.

Hello:

I received 2 of them yesterday.

They were in their original boxes, shipped seperatly. No double boxing.

They appear outwardly to be orignals with no prior use.

I ordered mine, it did not come double boxed, but inside everything looks new and there was film across the entire front of the unit. This thing is pretty heavy duty. The power cord is about 3/4 of an inch thick.

How are they about crediting you shipping fee?

Thanks for the deal!

Quick Reference of Forum Rules

Too bad the cost is almost double for black. Oh, well, it's still a good deal even at that price.

Hello:

I set up one of these units today. Very simple.

I raved all over the house like a lunatic about how much better the sound and the picture are now.

Of course I can't notice a difference but I need to make sure I continue to justify it to my wife. :-)

Did anyone order this recently and get a backorder status when they check their order status? The site is showing that it's in stock, and customer service is saying it's on backorder? So much for the replacement unit.

For those that already own this - does the unit stay on at all times? Also, has anyone used the remote ON function - just curious as to how that works? Thanks for any help!!

Yeah, I am pretty sure that it stays on all the time. You can hit the button on the front panel and that will turn off all the "switched" outlets. But power is being supplied to all the non-switched outlets.

And the front panel light is always on. There is no way to turn this off, that I am aware of. Someone please correct me if I am wrong!

I use the remote ON feature. It is quite simple and is explained in Page 10 & 11. I used the Remote DC ON function as explained in Page 11. I have Outlaw 990 Pre-Processor which has DC Out Trigger. I used the DC trigger cable supplied with PF60 and connected from Outlaw to the DC IN of PF60. Now, Whenever I turn on the Outlaw with Remote Control all PF60 turns on and all the Switched outlets gets power.

PF60 always will be on because it has 3 ALWAYS ON outlets to hook up equipment like Sat Receivers, VCRs, etc that always need to get power.

If anyone besides me is looking for the black version, B&H claims to have it in-stock for about $30 more than eCost, who is backordered. Too bad B&H doesn't open until Wednesday.
