So if you go to Best Buy's website and look, they have the HD70 on sale for $899 (if you go into the store, its listed at 948.99) just tell them you want a price match of their online price. Then, there is a $200 mail in rebate from Optoma--end price is $699 + tax (although I guess you pay tax on the $899)

I happened to get an open box, so they took another $94 off the price... so my total will be about $655

Cheers
Mike

I guess I'll have to check a little closer. I guess I could go price-match at Circuit City

I don't see anything excluding BB on Optoma's rebate form...

Hey Mike,

Should have went earlier in the week when they had the 12% off. They also have the free 4:3 screen offer with projector purchase.

BB was excluded from the Optoma rebate previously but that ended on 7-31.

It's the job of the salesman to give honest and accurate product info and let the customer decide if it fits their needs.

Yeah I realized I missed out on the 12%--I am guessing that it wouldn't have applied since I bought an open-box one anyway.

What's the word on the free 4:3 screen?

Getting 12% off would be tough, its on sale, they exclude on sale items from the coupon. I wasnt able to get them to budge on the sony aw15 at two bb's.

Still comes with a free screen online:

For a limited time, get an Optoma Panoview 84" Pull-Down Projection Screen for free when you buy any of the HD home theater projectors below.

They gave me 12% off on it.

Or you could pricematch at Circuit (110%).

or bring a 10% coupon from Circuit to BB.

What are you referring to? The Projector? Find me another 720p projector that does both vertical stretch and pillarboxing for a CIH setup, that I can buy for $650

Am I blind that I am missing the free screen? Is it from BB or Optoma?
