On the subject of portable music devices, I have neither an iPod or a cellphone and I am doing just fine without them, thank you. Plus I am way happier with my RCA or Creative Labs MP3 players than I ever was with the iPod. Cheaper, more reliable, and no need for software to use the devices!

I own 11 different Ipods (yes i am serious) and 2 ipads (1st gen).

Love it all!

42" in the dining room.
50" in the bedroom

spending $200-ish on iPod, then $300-ish on a pair of headphone... to listen to compressed music (or not) via the built-in cheap headphone amplifier is just hilarious. Too funny.
