AVS Forum founder David Bott gives us a tour of his home theater and recounts how he started AVS Forum in 1999 and how it has evolved since then. He also shares his views on the current state of the home-theater industry and future trends, such as wireless speakers and online content delivery, and talks about the Home Theater Cruise he started and traveling the country with his wife in a motor coach, plus answers to chat-room questions and more.

As a novice I’ve found the HTG podcasts extremely informative and entertaining. This one was no different – really enjoyed it. Keep it up!

Pretty good episode, just recently got into the whole podcast thing as my new phone makes it easier to manage them. Been listening to a couple a day on the speaker and listened to 147 yesturday. I am alot like David Bott in the fact that I for some reason just like electronics and setting things up in a house and playing with new technology. The Z-Wave thing he mentions looks cool but I dont think I can do anything like that for quite a long time...but it is cool stuff.

Trying to enjoy the simple things in life.

I have to agree both podcasts are great. You can check out Scott's podcasts at http://twit.tv/show/home-theater-geeks for current and past episodes. smile.gif

I just finished listening to last week's podcast, and Scott mentioned that AFS Forum had been sold, but I could not find any news articles. I just realized that by thinking that I should find news about this in the press means that I am an AVS Forum addict!

Any more info on the sale, Scott or David?

Thanks.

Mark

I watch Scott a lot on Leo Laporte's show. Always look forward to his slots there every weekend.
