Having just returned from CEDIA (Custom Electronics Design and Installation Association) Expo 2013 in Denver, CO, I chat with journalists Brent Butterworth, Mark Henninger, and Geoff Morrison about what we saw and heard at the show, including the overall mood of attendees and exhibitors, important product announcements, technology developments such as 4K, projectors, audio systems, headphones, curved flat panels, the best video and audio demos we experienced, answers to chat-room questions, and more.

Jim Burns and PENDRAG0ON like this.

Any news on Wisa speakers? I just listened the whole thing while working (thanks a lot!), but I was only 1/2 paying attention. The 4k e-shift stuff actually seems kind of interesting. I bet any money those will show up in affordable PJs as an intermediary step while true 4k projector costs come down.

I'm starting to think the only way I'll ever get my dream setup, of a full passive 4k x 120hz 3D is by buying two cheaper 4k projectors and running them at the same time with passive polarizers on them and a demuxer

Expect no great things before 2014!
Manufacturers have to unload a pile of the older technology during Football Finals and Christmas + Boxing Day. CES 2014 Anyone?

The big news from WiSA is a series of wireless speakers that is coming very soon from Bang & Olufsen. Here's the interview we recorded at the WiSA booth featuring B&O.

The Dubking hits the big time? Way to go Mark! And to think, I knew you before you were famous. Guess I should have gotten your autograph then, eh? biggrin.gif

If you take yourself too seriously expect me to do the exact opposite
