I have a SONY KDLV4100 and have Cablevision hooked up via HDMI. On my HBO channels, I notice considerable motion blur and ghosting. It doesn't have to be fast motion, but simply a face smearing as a person walks down a hall. When using my BLU-RAY and X-BOX I do not have this issue. Is it my cable service? (cablevision says I have excellent signal) or could it be my cinimotion settins? I currently have them set to AUTO 1. I am also considering a switch to FIOS to solve the problem, although I do not want to spend 20 bucks in taxes on top of the monthly rate.

I think your best chance of getting an answer would be to search for "smearing" in the user's thread for your set in the LCD Flat Panel displays area, or to repost your question as a separate thread there.
