[quote=sotti;20419815]Profiling is a very sensitive process.

We have a profiling tool in the application. Simply use the profiling tool and let it perform the measurements and setup the profile.[/QI

I can't profile the ColorMunki Enhanced ( LCD LED ) to chroma 5 ?
The profile only select for LCD Only not LCD LED .

Both meters have to support the mode in order for that mode to be available in the drop down.

Also you should be profiling the chroma5 to the colormunki, not the other way around. You will get fine results using the colormunki in standard LCD mode and profiling the chroma5 off of that.

Sorry for my bad english.
I am profiling chroma 5 to color munki.
But i find the Lcd Led from color munki give me good color.
Is there any other way to,profile chroma 5 to color munki enhanced (LCD Led) ?

It may be more than 1 year for me (I have to check my other system for the date). I checked the website but it's not clear to me how I would (if I had to) reaquire the software license plus the additional license for my Chroma5 (as part of upgrading to the current version). I don't see how that could be done without having to pay for what looks like the full cost all over again.

In the settings on calman 4.2.2 in Settings - Miscellaneous
There are some options that I would like to know they do and who to choose:
Under Miscellaneous there is Interactive Target and
DeltaE Formula with the following options:
dEuv? (Default)
dE76
dE94
dE2000

Target 2.5?

I`m a newbe so What does these settings do and who should I choose.
I`m using the CMS in a iScan DUO and a JVC X3(RS40)

I have calibrated my X3 too with CalMAN.

Usually you should use dE76 for the grayscales/gamma and dE94 for the gamut. So set DeltaE formula to dE76. The gamut uses dE94 by default.

You should set the "Target" to the deltaE error which should be reached by the CalMAN interactive add-on. 2.5 means, that CalMAN will end the interactive calibration when the deltaE-target of 2.5 was reached. A "good" value for the X3 is 1.

Is the interactive add on the "auto" calibration. Press a button and Calman does the work?

Can you get this for the base level 4.2.2?

I have DDC controlled pj, with an i1-Pro

No, auto-calibration is reserved for the commercial version of CalMAN only. Unfortunately you cannot buy an add-on for the auto-calibration for the base-version of CalMAN.

For further details: look at the SpectraCal-Forum. There you will find all answers.

Not likely as the cost of the pro version is much higher. Chroma Pure is flirting with suto calibration, but since I do not own it and they do not offer a trial I am not sure what is available at the home level.

We are currently working on a Lumegen Workflow, but I'm not sure exactly what you mean by a fix?

Thanks Sotti for answering my quirey, I apologize for not being more clear..

What I ment by fix was the Radiance Specific interactive Workflow/ DDC (ISF-auto) not using Grayscale 100%, Instead if need be" adjusted under the Gamut White adjustment as per Lumagen's/JP's recommendation using the Lumagens Gamut white point to get 100% white correct if need be..

Other wise its possible to introduce unwanted issues from what I am lead to believe, Thus why I poped the question regarding A rough idea for the new Radiance workflow design based on the above explanation ..

Thanks..

It is being actively worked on currently, I don't know the exact ETA for when it is being planned for release. We've got a minor release and a point release coming up in the next little bit, I'm sure it'll be in one of those two.

We left the flirting stage some time ago. Auto-calibration for Duo and Radiance users was released in early June. If you wish to know how it works, see this

http://www.chromapure.com/demos-autocal.asp

It is a $149 add-on to ChromaPure Standard and free for ChromaPure Professional users.

hi there,

i just got around to loading the latest DVDO Duo update as well as the latest Calman software. i need to redo my calibration since my jvc lcos' bulb went belly up 6 weeks ago, after almost 5 years (i can live with that) and my calibration is clearly off with the new bulb. one thing i found is that the algorithm for adjusting gamma and luminance is now much more robust. previously, i would get occasional behavior where the values would drift off to max or min and get stuck there, while now convergence was completed for all of my adjustments.
nice job.

i will have to bring in an ISF calibrator for the basic TV set though as i could not get the white & black adjusted properly with brightness/contrast controls, so a trip to the service menu seems in store for the jvc, after which i'll finish things off myself with the Duo/Calman combo.

Calman + Duo is an excellent combo.

Just a question: is there a plan to buy the auto-calibration feature also for the "normal" private users of CalMAN ? I think nearly nobody of the private users can afford that feauture for 2500 USD (= commercial version) ...

Two questions;

Is there a good tutorial anywhere that shows you how to make your own workflow?

Is there a library anywhere to download the worklows created by others (no point in reinventing the wheel)

Thanks

We don't have a good tutorial for the public at this time.

We do have a Workflow section on our forum where users can swap workflows.

No, look in the SpectraCal forum instead.
