I should have added, the X-Rite software that is included with the retail version of that meter isn't for calibrating your Plasma in a Home Theater environment. Out of the current mainstream enthusiast calibration software offerings, only CalMAN supports the retail version of that meter. There is also an OEM version of that meter which is supported by CalMAN and ChromaPure.

I think every 3rd party software except Chromapure supports the retail version.

Or do you know another 3rd party software that does not support the retail version?

Or put another way, if you don't want to be tied to just CalMAN and would like the choice of CalMAN and Chromapure somewhere along the line you should choose OEM version.

I have both and see they are both developing softwares so I like to have the choice as they continue their interesting progress.

I was thinking of going with Calman as I've used one of the first versions of it years ago with very good results....I will most likely purchase the meter/software package from the Spectracal website....

Thanks again guys!!!!

Carmine...

If you had their version back in the Excel time, you may want to contact them, you may need not to purchase anymore and simply get the 4.xx verision free..I think so at least.
