Sorry in the delay in getting the Blu ray version online, but please find in the first post

Additional I had an idea:

I was thinking of adding the required scenes from here and then on the pop-up menu put the text from the article. any comments on doing that?

additional, is there any preferences on the pop-up navigation, would it be interesting to add some links to different sections in strategic right positions?

EDIT:

First post updated with a Blu-Ray Version and a AVCHD Strict. if the normal AVCHD version dont work, try the strict version, however please also let me know.

That's a great idea - but are there copyright concerns? I'd hate to see you get into trouble.

BTW - thanks for all your hard work on this. (You too, zoyd)

Please add patterns 10% windows with fixed 22% APL to plasmas.
(Zoyd-Given this data set, for plasma calibration I would opt for 10% by area windows on a multilevel fixed background designed to yield 22% constant APL).
Pattern Calculator (2).xlsx 8k .xlsx file

Why Color Test Patterns contains 12 patches?
EBU (Tech 3325 ) contains The test inputs for colour gamut are test patterns 5-red, 5-green and 5-blue.
A set of 15 EBU test colours was defined in EBU Tech 3237 and its supplement [13], based on
certain Munsell chips, and these are also a useful set of test colours for characterising a display.
Whilst these test colours were originally intended as camera input test colours, here we use these
colours referred to the output of the display.
For the measurement of the EBU test colours (based on sample data given in EBU Tech 3237 and its
supplement [13], and assuming a display gamma of 2.35) the field patches should be set to the
digital 10-bit values given in the table below.

10-bit code values at monitor

I am at the moment encoding videos with 10%APL patterns

I will not be including the 15EBU patterns as zoyd and my self agreed on the more widely used patterns that are already included.

I will not give a ETA for the new beta version, simply because i am busy at work and with the family, however I can guarantee that when I have a bit of time I am working on it.

is there any additional comments on the navigation via pop-up or is that fine?

1) 10% area and 22%APL?
2) Is not better than 15 patterns of 12?
3) ok
4) no

1. Yes

2. No added value. The 12 Munsell color checker overlap with the EBU colors plus RGBYCM is more than adequate to evaluate a consumer display.

I got patterns (video streams) and menu files ready, but need to re-author the disk.

Is there really no comments on the popup menus or are they useless in its current form?

For me they are fine and handy.
I use them as a shortcut to change patterns. (e.g., from 100% to 10%) smile.gif

If I just want to burn a copy of this disc once, how long should I wait for the final release?

Regarding a date for the final release I don't think that would be possible, due to plans changes all the time, and also it's very time consuming, but I can say for sure it's not gonna be within the next month, also I would like to encourage you to try it out and come with your feedback, it would be much appreciated.

Regarding the mp4 version I don't have any plans to do it until there is a complete list of patterns.
Is the mp4 version just the patterns as mp4 in a folder structure that follow the menu system on the disk?

Ya, similar to the AVSHD709 disc... it just has all of the individual patterns in mp4 format separated with folders. When I calibrate my HTPC, I like to just play the patterns as mp4 video files. I use MPC HC and it doesn't seem play the AVCHD disc properly. I've also tried VLC. Plays fine in my PS3 though.

Any chance of getting these patterns as .bmp images? If so, I could load them into my pattern generator.

If I can find a batch converter from .tga to.bmp then no problem.

There is a problem with the 10% apl munsill test patterns. Will update as soon I get a chance
