For grayscale, setting c/T won't make any difference at all. You just have to recheck it at the end and the grayscale correction will alter it slightly ...
I do it before grayscale all the time. It gives me a number. Then later on, the color and the tint process is repeated with the test instrument. That leads to another number. (Establishing a range ... ) Since both methods have strengths and weaknesses ... one method is not always better than the other.
Grand scheme of things ... do it first and just recheck it later. Takes about 20 sec. to recheck it. In most cases, it would not have changed much at all.
