To be fair, Testgoddes, did note on the spectral forum that the lab "checked the profiling math" for this beta but does that mean a fix was made or that the math was correct and there is no fix?

On the color volume issue, the forum states "Color Volume Workflow updates
Supported license levels - Ultimate, Professional, Expert, Studio, Enthusiast, Control, Basic". OK fine but maybe they forgot to add the workflow or maybe it's only in Ultimate right now?

Tyler, I know everyone is really busy but please see if you can find out the answers to these two simple questions. I've sent e-mail to support, there was a post on the Spectracal forum yesterday about color volume and no responses.

Thank you
It's been reported @ CalMAN Forum that they forgot to add the Color Volume Workflow to CalMAN Home Installer, someone has to do a basic check/control of features next time before uploading a release.

So it looks like they fixed the profiler Below, the first scan is my i1Pro2, the 2nd is the Klein K10A profile made with Calman in Multipass mode, and the 3rd is the Klein K10A profile made with Chromasurf.

Special thanks to Ted for his Profile Verification Workflow!

The workflow is from Ted's disk. You have to get it from him but it's well worth the small fee as you can see.

You can get it at this link -> http://www.displaycalibrations.com/c...workflows.html

I had no problem. Just deleted the license on my released version of calman, loaded the beta, then added the license. Easy, no issues.

The thing is, when I load my 5.7.2 it won't find my license, so It opens in Evaluation Mode, and there's no license to deactivate in the window and no way to regain the activation online to activate the beta.

The same thing happened to me. It's confusing, but all you have to do is install the new beta over it, and then you can enter the license info.

I ran the color volume analysis on my 55A1E, calibrated, and the results are below. I followed all of the directions best I could understand them. The first scan was using the 4-40 windows and the second 10% windows. I used my Klein K10A with a Murideo 6G meter. The K10 was profiled to my i1Pro2 using the new Calman profiler.

Any thoughts on the results?

From appearances, are the colors missing their mark? Or is this before calibration?

The target boxes are different colors at the edge of REC.2020 colorspace (full saturated), no consumer display can reach them.

This is after calibration;
Here are the scans.

You should try running the color volume on the HU9000/SEK3500 It will probably hit all the 2020 targets lol

Hi Tyler,

I was checking the Color Volume Workflow, and I was expecting to see the 3-dimensional chart which Samsung/SpectraCAL was demonstrated @ CES / and also advertised to all sites related with calibration all these months (from January; after CES) that supposed to be generated after the measurement a 3-dimentional shape showing the display’s colour volume against reference (that can even be 3D printed).

I see 2 pages, the first page ''CIE L*a*b'' is based on a modification of ICDM (International Committee for Display Metrology) for evaluating TV performance called VCRC (volume-color reproduction capability) (Based to this method as reference: http://www.icdm-sid.org/updates/Docs...1-20130326.pdf) but there is no three-dimensional space presentation using (a*, b*) space as specified by ICDM for that measurement.

The second page is based to Dolby's ICtCp Perceptual Color Volume method, there is no third-dimensional space presentation using (Ct, Cp) space, there is no any documentation to see if the displayed MCD number is good or no good, do you have any info to post related? ...or a chart which says what is the MCD number of a 1000/4000 nits display which cover 100% DCI inside REC2020 colorspace to have as reference? Dolby has posted their explanation of that method and examples about this here: https://www.dolby.com/us/en/technolo...lor-volume.pdf

When the 3D graphs are expected, is it something which is work in progress?

A documentation will be informal and helpful also.

You guys really should add a 'Login' button to the customer portal at both your portrait.com and spectracal.com websites. I had to come to this thread just to find the login link.

If you go to calman.spectracal.com >> tech support and go to number 5 it is the link to the license portal. I found it there with a minimum of effort
