Touche. What i meant was that the email went out over a week ago announcing Calman 2017. I would figure the final would have been released before the email.

Hi folks. Quick question:

(Background - no HDR DV projectors yet so I'm hanging around waiting for one)

Until then:

Can you use the OPPO 203 to do the following:

Output 1080p
(In SDR - does the 203 convert bck to rec709 - does anybody know - When it converts HDR to SDR?)

Retaining
10 bit signal
and
the rec. bt 2020 container.

If this is possible - I'd like to hook up a 203 (I have a 103D at the mo) to an integral4k60 and watch 1080p 10bit Wide colour gamut UHD's until and suitable projector comes along.

Cheers

John

Question: is it possible to specify a nits level for white that is lower than the actual display brightness so that CalMAN calibrates down to it? So, eg say my display is set up to deliver 200 cd/m2, but I want my 3D cube to only output 120cd/m2 after autocal?

I'm looking at using the Lumagen Pro HDR Intensity Mapping on my TV but am limited to one basic setup, so the idea would be to maximise brightness for the HDR material but use a smaller cube for SDR

I posted that question in the Spectracal forum, and was answered by Tyler as Rolls-Royce stated: 2000 nits for HDR-2000, 1300 for the HDR, and 1000 for the original C6.

Last night, I was trying to run a LUTs calibration using an eecolor as my LUTs box.

Since I'm calibrating a 2016 LG OLED, I wanted to use an alternate white point. The one D-Nice came up with for the 2016s.

Can you do this with enthusiast level license? One of the pages in the 3d cube workflow seems to say that selecting alternate white points as well as two other items is only available with certain licenses. It gives you two ways of selecting but nothing to show which of the two you pick which leads me to think that you can't do it with enthusiast license.

On a separate issue, I chose the 90 minute LUTs run which took over 3 hours. Any idea why?

Klein K-10A, CR250, i1D3, i1Pro2, Calman Enthusiast, LG 65B6P, Panasonic 65VT50, and a great wife that puts up with all this.:)
