Got an email advertising new products from Konica Minolta today. One product caught my interest...the KM CL-500A spectrophotometer. From the video, it looks like a sup'ed up i1 Pro. Very interesting. No idea on price, but I am quite sure it is more expensive than an i1. However, nice to see KM offering a true Spectro device quite a bit less in price than their CS-2000. Operation is similar to the i1 Pro, but the big benefit is that you don't need a computer or software to take readings.

We have been looking at the CL-500A for some time now, it has been out for a while. The main issue is it is a illuminant meter with a built in cosign diffuser that can't be defeated. So not really appropriate for video applications.
