I have the Samsung UN46EH6000 and in the service menu there is no "Expert" section. Are the Cal Day and Night modes hidden elsewhere in the SM or are they nonexistent on the EH series models? Also, the "Advanced" section shows up on the main SM screen, but when you press 0000 all you get is a blank screen.

Here's a pic of the SM main screen:

What is the current region of the TV in SM? If it's not U.S., normally Cal-Day and Ca-Night are not shown, right?

Doing a factory reset will get the advanced settings to work once you input 0 0 0 0. The expert menu option will appear as well but it's greyed out. I'm still unable to find cal-day/night anywhere. My guess is it's in the expert menu option but I don't know how to access it, it stays greyed out.

Arrow down to SVC and press enter. Expert should be in there.

Was looking at my friends EH5000 last night, didn't see anything other than 2 point in the user menu.. am I missing something? Day/Night just gives you 2 places to store a locked set of setting, correct?

Greetings

D/N is an option available on 6 series and higher. Not 5 series. The locking part has never worked right. You go back into the SM to lock the settings and when you come out, The D/N settings are locked all right ... based on reset values and not the stuff you did. Going into the SM often resets all values across the board on the user side.

it does work right on my EH6030, but this set lacks CMS and 10-pt white balance... the two areas that typically get reset

stuff like basic picture settings plus 2-pt white balance and gamma presets are retained when locking the N/D modes

only the ES6100 and higher models have CMS and 10-pt white balance in the user menu... the EH models don't (regardless of 6, 5, or 4 series)

Thanks, I figured if it had it, it would be in the User menu and not require SM access.
