Before I get the link to the ps3 settings i promise I've looked plus countless others. I am trying to calibrate this Samsung with the ps3 as main source and I've got about 50/50 results on what to use. First of all, I'm running the ps3 via hdmi to onkyo which is then running to tv via hdmi direct or pass through basically untouched mostly, I've noticed when I am playing a game regardless of what settings i have ps3 on when I press info on the onkyo it shows RGB 36 bit in and out. Same thing with a blu ray movie except Ycbcr 36 bit. So ideally if that's the case shouldn't I calibrate it for a game mode using the settings on ps3 rgb full and hdmi level normal on tv and a designated movie mode using the super white funtion to on via the ps3 being that once the Ycbcr 36 bit is being directly fed from the ps3 to the tv the hdmi level is grayed out as is rgb level on ps3. I'm not an expert but to me it'd make sense to have it calibrated for the mode its pushing through. To my understanding from numerous forums and guidelines if the tv supports it then it is better to use rgb full with hdmi level to normal.

Paragraphs are your friends. I have a very similar setup to yours and should therefore be able to follow but I had to read your post several times to find out what you were asking. Break it up to make it easier to read.

Here's a discussion of calibration for video games: http://www.avsforum.com/t/1412468/should-i-use-calibrated-preset-for-tv-channels-and-videogames.

Adjusting settings according to personal preference is not calibration.
