As the title states, post photos of the insides of your color meters and spectros in this thread.

Let see what the guts to these instruments look like.

I asked the little German man inside my jeti for a photo, but he declined as it wouldn't serve any practical purpose. Although he didn't mind discussing the matter over a lager and spicy sausage.

I did an interview with Luhr Jensen who developed the Klein Instruments 10-a. Very informative interview and if you scroll down to the bottom of the page you'll see the inside of the probe.

Before 1-2 Years, there were a document of technical explanation with JETI Specbos meter opened, there were arrows also pointing/naming each part. I can't find it right now, maybe it's removed, but not expect something very special inside structure, you will propaply disappointed with the inside. But it's performance is reference. smile.gif

Tedd,

For a 5 nm spectro, I was expecting something different.

Thats the 1201, the 1211 uses a different brand of spectro.

Not sure what you were expecting JimP, the simplest form of spectro you can make yourself with a CD/DVD and cardboard box. But making it work and report real data takes a little more skill.

just google Spectro design, actually the jeti site has good data in general.

hi guys

I did a class in Jena, at the JETI facility a few months ago. I was quite surprised at the level of sophistication that makes up a spectro. It was very interesting to see / tour.
