Is there any advantage from a calibration standpoint to using slides vs mixed content:

Specifically:

1. End result of calibration is more accurate ?

2. The resulting calibration is less like to drift over time or drift more slowly ?

I don't think so, however I like to run multi-colored slides on each plasma I get in here continuously and non-stop in the beginning.. I get to calibrating quickly and also take that time to look for any initial issues with the display.

I know that the Director of Display Engineering for Pioneer here in North America back in the day panel aged his using an all white pattern, filling the screen, for the first hundred hours or so before he calibrated.

I am with ya Turbe smile.gif I don't deny there are some benefits with putting hours on the screen faster but once you are too that point and your set is calibrated there is no difference in the quality of the calibration in my experience, there is someone in the plasma forum claiming you can not get a stable calibration without running slides
