I use a Sencore CP5000 (the one that has 2 pods: one for Plasma/DLP/CRT, and one for LCD).

I haven't kept up at all with what's out there these days. Does anyone with more experience know how well the CP5000 stands up to current offerings? If I have a budget around $500, would I be able to grab something significantly better? Thanks for any input!

EDIT: This would be for personal use, most likely calibrating any current or new LCD (IPS) PC monitors, my current DLP projector, and possible future DLP or LCOS projector.

Xrite i1displaypro is a greatly improved device and more suitable for projection than the sencore device. Your sencore has probably drifted out of spec now anyway.

For that budget you could get a calibration package, probe included.

Thanks for the super fast response! I'll take a look.
