This may be old news but this is one tough film to reproduce.
I tried watching it a couple years ago on my DPI Dvision and it looked so awful I stopped. I chalked it up to a bad transfer.
Watched it last nice and flipped through a couple presets-combination of JVC RS49 projector & Lumagen settings/calibrations.
The only setting that provided a stunning image was my new BT.1886 calibration.
I'm going to watch it on my big rig in 3D as I think the JVC just won't have enough light for this one.
Some scenes look like they were shot with a single candle for illumination.

I would go as far to say if this movie looks amazing on your system you are dialed in.

Interesting. Any parts/chapters specifically you'd recommend? I have this movie but haven't watched it in a long time.
