Question Chosing a pattern generator

Hi everyone.

I'm looking for a pattern generator, going for the "low" priced ones. If you have any of the following two, what pros/cons can you tell me about it? do you know a better alternative?

Option A: DVDO AVLab TPG

Option B: Spectracal VideoForge HDMI

Only a few days left....and.... I will release a free utility for the Version 1.1 of my calibration disk users that will provide them the capability of a fully automated measuring procedure for CalMAN software users of any CalMAN Chapter of the disk...like 4/5/10-Point Saturation/Luminance, ColorChecker Classic/SG/SG Skintones, 11/21-Point Grayscale etc. there will be no need to click multiple times any CalMAN measurement button using their mouse anymore. Only an initial synced keyboard key will be required.... More details will be posted soon to Ted's LightSpace CMS Calibration Disk thread.

Thanks Gregg and Ted, actually I considered de iScan mini, but I had the impression that it came with just a few patterns, however, if I can use a test disc (I have AVSHD, S&M and Ted's) that would be a fantastic option, besides that, Ted's news are awesome and it could be a selling point.

Hello again, Iscan Mini has a limited number of patterns, as you mention, there missing the xx-Point of Grayscale patterns to be able to do work as a stand alone device for a quick calibration, the current firmware version has full field CMS patterns.

All loaded test patterns will be available from the IR remote and the OSD.

I believe the DVDO iScan Mini is an another option (together with Seiki's Up-conversion solutions) for all 1080p Output 3D LUT boxes users (like Lumagen Radiance Mini or eeColor etc.) with UltraHD 2160p displays for an alternative UHD signal upscalling.... for those who want to bypass their display's internal upscalling feature for something better
