best calibration for projector

I have an epson3020 projector. I want to have it calibrated correctly so I know everything is as good as it can be. I am new to this so have no idea how it would be done. I had someone out and they said it would be around 500 to calibrate it and also adjust my speakers and set them up for all my devices. I also went to Best Buy and they said the charge would be around 250. Is there a reason for such a big price difference? Also is there different ways of calibration that are better than others? Just want to make sure the pic and the 3D are all set as good as they can be set as well as the sound. Figured this would be the place to ask for good advice. Thanks

The Best Buy calibration doesn't include your audio. Check out the thread on Best Buy calibrations to see what they do include and how successful they've been. A well-done calibration of video and audio is going to take far longer than the time the Best Buy folks are allocated for their calibrations.

Start in the thread here about ISF calibrators and where they are located. Look for reviews of their work. There may be calibrators from that thread in your area or who travel to it routinely. Talk with them about the services they offer and their pricing.

Are you connecting the projector to a computer or a broadcast source?

You can use a Spyder4elite to calibrate with a computer or spyder4tv to calibrate to broadcast...

I'm not sure if I understand your question correctly, but to calibrate the colors of your DVD player, the spyder4tv would be the one...
