X-rite i1Display production date

Hi! I'm about to buy either an i1Display Pro or a ColorMunki Display. But all the units I can find have the number 11/2010 on the box. Does that mean that they were produced back in 2010? Or is just a version number or something? I want to make sure that I get a new/recent unit.

(I have contacted X-rite about this, but have not received a definitive answer yet.)

I looked at one of mine that I bought last year and it shows 04/2014. Sounds more like a production date.

Now the bigger question is does it matter?

Samsung 64F8500, Panasonic 65VT50, Oppo 95, Tivo Roamio for OTA, Dish VIP722, Marantz AV8801 preamp, Rotel Amps, Atlantic Tech 8200 speakers, Seaton Submersive HP, Calman 5, Chromapure, Accupel DVG-5000, VideoForge HDMI II, i1Display3pro, i1pro2, eecolor colorbox.

Its just the date the box was printed, the date on the counterweight is the date the meter was made.
