Does anyone have a good HDR calibration settings for a Xbox One S on a P50-C1 with the latest firmware version?

For video games (mostly PS4 Pro with HDR), which of the following is the option I should select (Vizio P, 50 inch, 2016, Latest Firmware) (I usually play games with the lights out):

-Standard
-Calibrated
-Calibrated Dark
-Vivid
-Game
-Computer

Anything else I should know? Wasn't really looking to mess around with the individual settings. Which of these six options should I set the tv for, for PS4 Pro games? Also I noticed a bit of a shimmer effect with movies, like a very fast flicker. Anyone know what that is about and how to resolve it?

I use a PS4 Pro with My 75P Series (2016) and I use the following settings for UHD Gaming with HDR Enabled (I'm tweaking these all the time but I think this is a good basic starting point):

Calibrated Dark
Backlight at 50-55
Color at 54 - 58
Sharpness at 20
Black Detail Off
Active LED ON
Color Temp Normal
Judder and Motion Blur at 0
Clear Action OFF
GLL ON
Color Space AUTO
Gama 2.2

All else Standard Default Settings. You can tweak things endlessly of course but this should give you a good starting point.

If I'm playing a non-HDR game such as an FPS then I may opt for the Clear Action ON setting to improve panning and motion blur. You may also increase the Judder and Motion settings then too which helps. The Clear Action flickering that is common will become less obvious when you've watched it for a bit and you should really only notice it on static bright screens.

Remeber that you can save multiple picture settings for various viewing scenarios. Example: UHD HDR Gaming, UHD Standard Game, UHD Movie, UHD Casting, etc.

Make sure you are using the Calibrated Dark preset when applying these settings. Once you have done that create your preset call it cal-night. Then go into calibrated apply the settings and bump backlight to 35 or 40 depending on your room. The create another preset call it cal-day. I don't get green tint on my display? There will be differences between displays even those in the same series ie; uniformity, grey scale, and colors.

Yeah, I did them based off Calibrated Dark the second time around. I actually reset everything and tried it over as I noticed that I didn't do your settings based off of the default Calibrated Dark and skin tones looked faded due to my extreme messing around with the gains .

I still get a slight greenish look. I even took a white balanced piece of paper that I took a photo of from my Canon 7D and casted it to the TV and it's still slightly green.

Like I said, I am not a calibrating expert lol. Which setting would be the best to adjust to get rid of the greenish look?

Yea after profiling I ran a scan and had a green push across the complete RGB grayscale and gamma was increased on the lowend (0-30%) by quite a bit. So I went from a <.5 de to a 2.0 to 4.0 Delta.
I didn't check CMS and HDR with it before resetting and starting from scratch again .

I noticed that I can change CMS settings now without a major setback.....also color precal is not nearly as on as it was before. Before I really didn't need to adjust at all but with this one it was off quite a bit.

For some reason I didn't think it would look better but my gut feeling is that it looks a bit richer, black detail is improved while maintaining the same black level especially in SDR.
I did 2pt adjustments using 30/100 (previously 30/80) for all 3 Cal's.....

When I profiled, I created one for SDR and one for HDR.

For me SDR is closer and HDR10 is a bit further. DV is about the same.

If anything I thought you would get a lot more accuracy in the low end. I know that with the i1 display pro, although they do decent with low light, it could be improved quite a bit with profiling. I tend to favor 30 and 100 because white is right on going into 11pt and I don't need to touch 100 step.

Interesting, I may look at it more again today but I used to get everything below 2 deltaE with CC but now things go to 4 or higher. I used to get really bad Posturization when making certain CMS adjustments but now I haven't noticed any. I still can't do HDR10 yet since selling my Roku Ultra. I tried casting patterns to the TV with that app you mentioned but it didn't work, must only work with the CC Ultra.

I've done 2pt at 30/80, 30/100, and 5/100. 5/100 is from the OLED world.

So the latest firmware didn't fix my P65-C1 CMS issue that nobody else seems to have. Vizio told me over the last 2 firmwares that the next one will fix it. Seems as though they never addressed my issue and they made the assumption I was talking about the 11pt issue, even though I told them it wasn't. Going to have to create a service call. I hope I can keep the panel as it is nearly perfect. /Sigh

For those wondering, manual CMS settings do not load when I turn on my display. 2pt & 11pt work perfectly.

@shoman94 I am able to calibrate the CMS no problem. The numbers show just fine. After I turn off my display, any time I turn on my display, the settings are not implemented. The numbers still remain, they just don't reflect on the display. I did extensive testing of this. Hue, Saturation & Brightness are the only settings with this issue.

So you calibrate, reboot, then run the calibration again and you get the same precal readings? It stays that way until when?

@shoman94 indefinitely. The only way the settings load is if I change the numbers to each setting. I would have to do that each time I turned on my display.
