Question about triplet calculation

Managed to get slightly confused as usual.

In Calman the target triplet voor 75% stim. yellow is 180,180,16. So I calculated this to 70% 70% 0% RGB percentages and had the Iscan Duo (controlled by the Iscan duo control panel - not Calman) send those.

x,y are spot on. But Y is too low according to Calman when I have it read the 70% 70% 0% RGB triplet. When I set the Target Y Calman wants in the Duo control panel, the triplet changes to 75% 75% 0%. But that is not 180,180,16 any more...

What's up with that?:-) please give me the 101 on this. I'm guessing it has something to do with the the Duo control panel is targeting a theoretical 100 cd/m²?

numbers: Duo is targeting 0,420316 Y for 70% 70% 0% and Calman is targeting 0,483234 which the duo says is 75% 75% 0%.

My gear: Panasonic TH-42PF11EK pro plasma display + TX-P55VT60E -- Iscan Duo video processor -- i1 display 3 colorimeter -- i1 pro 2 spectrometer

Hi, DVD iScan DUO as a pattern generator can display patterns only with percentage values (0-100%) as you know, so 100 steps, in16-235 video TV legal range.

The 75% Yellow you ask from CalMAN, supposed to have match with 75% 75% 0% from DUO. (Why you are comparing with 70-70-0?)

I haven't used DUO at past, but in duo control, do you see 8bit digital values there?

Basically I just made the wrong calculation. Kind of stupid I know but now I get to 74,88 which is 75%. Just remeasured and now it checks out just fine.
