Can anyone suggest the settings for these units? I have just received mine, am very new to this, and have no clue. Are all the settings available through the menu?
I can not have it professionally done at this time.
Thanks in advance.

Greetings

Recommend you use a test disc to run through the user basics. Takes about 5 to 10 minutes. If you do not have a real test disc ... then use one of those THX optimode disc tests on any THX disc.

This will give you far better results optimized for your TV rather than a random set of numbers from someone who doesn't even have the same DVD player. All DVD players yield different calibration results. They cannot be shared with any success. Maybe it works and maybe not. Use the disc ... a far better pairing for the TV and the DVD player.

Michael,
Thank you for replying.
A couple of questions if you do not mind; where do you get the test disc you refer to and also will that calibration work with D* or is it recommended to use with DVD player?

Thanks again!
