However, at $30, just buying 3 games over the two year period would make it worth it.
Thanks for the feedback. I think the $120 price point is what steered me away from the program before. The $30 price sure makes the program worth it for me. It would be nice to see this program available for digital downloads. I'm trying to go digital whenever possible, the exception being on games that I won't get a whole lot of replay value from.

Definitely...No need to wait until 11/2. Get the Sunset Overdrive bundle tomorrow, then get $50 back next week. Easy. My only suggestion would be to do it at Target (never any hassle on this kind of stuff).

$350 for the console & what looks like will be a great game, just hours away....

if you want an additional 5% savings on top of the holiday sale for Xbox One bundles...

http://www.neowin.net/news/here-is-h...icrosoft-store

Here's the deal: if you sign up for Microsoft's text message alerts, they will give you a coupon code worth 5% off at a Microsoft Store. So, by combining the $50 price drop with the additional 5% off, you can buy an Xbox One for $332.50 starting next month. The easiest way to get the 5% off code is to text 'Play' to 29502.

We texted 29502 and instantly got a 5% off coupon that works for an Xbox One, but this alert was shown at the top of the page when we were testing to see if the coupon would work with an Xbox One.

I'm curious about this.

You mentioned "double points" - what are points and how are they used?

So I preordered a White xbox one bundle from MS. It's in transit and will be here tomorrow. Do you all think MS will credit me $50 or should I just return it and get it again next week? I know the easy answer is to just call tomorrow but just wanted to see what others are doing.

UPDATE:
So instead of living my life on various internet forums I actually called the Microsoft store and asked what my options were. After a few minutes they confirmed that I'd get a $50 refund to my credit card within 10 days. No need to return the box. Big ups to MS store. My second box comes tomorrow. Moving the black to the kids room and adding a bit of white to the TV room. Now I hope all the settings for home xboxes and sharing of titles works as advertised. Time to get 2 for 1 digital downloads.

Reward Zone, now known as My Best Buy. For every $250 you spend, you get $5 in store cash. So for video games, You get two points for each dollar instead of one. Have a Best Buy credit card? Another 5% bonus points. And if you spend way too much money at Best Buy and are an Elite or Elite Plus Reward Zone, there's bonuses on top of that, but I don't remember the percentage. I've bought $25 steam cards with a BB credit card, and ended up with almost 100 points after double points and bonuses. Or if you want to go digital, buy MS cards, get double points, and do digital pre-orders.

Grand Theft Auto San Andreas for $3.74: http://marketplace.xbox.com/en-US/Pr...5-d802545408b8

The game was supposed to be $14.99, but either a 10 year anniversary sale or pricing error. Either way, great deal for the remake with achievements.

Oh, and to add some incentives to get an Xbox one: http://content.microsoftstore.com/en...#offer-xbox100

Trade in a Xbox 360 -S or -E (I am not sure which one the -E is but I suspect that the S is slim) or PS3 and get $100 credit for Xbox one. So if you have an extra console sitting around, gathering dust, add this deal to the $50 off. The problem is that this offer expires Nov 2, 2014, so that is the only day I think you can double dip.

I went to the MS store last night after I read about the trade in. There is no limit on which console qualifies for the trade, this time. I know it was the S, and E models, previously, but I had went to the trade in page, and entered both the PRO and Arcade models that I own, and it populated with the 100.00 credit.
Two issues that I see, (other than the one day window)...You have to give up all accessories, including cables and controllers. My Arcade is a used, hand-me-down, that had nothing with it, so the extra HD cable set I had, went to outfit that unit. And, with three 360's in the house, I am utilizing all controllers that I purchased. In fact, I just spent about 4 hours on Saturday refurbing the old controllers with new housings.
The other issue, is it appears to be online MS credit, so you don't actually get the extra hundee off the price of the One. BUT it works for DD, and expansions.

Personally I see this as a benefit instead of an issue. For those that aren't near a Microsoft Store, or are just too lazy like myself, I just went through this online portal, selected my 360 model, confirmed the $100 credit, and they sent me a pre-paid FedEx label to ship it to them. I will be digging mine out and sending it in tomorrow.

http://microsoftconsoletrade.cexchan...me/index.rails

EDIT: As Kevin said, looks like ALL 360 models are worth $100, provided the controllers & cables are included. And it works.

Probably the wrong area, but figured I'd post here with all the talk of trade-ins:

Anyone have a spare transfer kit they'd be willing to lend out? I know a while back one was being passed around between fellow AVS'ers. Or is there another way of moving the data?

I have two 360's, one old w/ 250gb external hard drive and one new with slim 250 hard drive. I would like to move the old hard drive's data to the new system before eventually trading the old system in.

Thanks.

USB 32 GB thumb drive. Copy/Move all data over 32 gigs at a time. (that's the max for external memory that the 360 sees). That's how I loaded all my PRO data over to my Elite 120 gig, when I upgraded. (of course I wasn't moving over large amounts of data...It was only a 20 gig drive)
The only downside, is it may take a bit longer.

Also remember to transfer your licenses to the new console. I think you can do it via the console quickly, but if you do via the website, you will probably need the serial numbers.

I don't see the Sunset Overdrive Bundle on Target.com. I wonder if they have it in store. Kind of sucks, was hoping to get the 5% off. I guess I'll have to use that MS store coupon.

Went to my closest Target today and they did not have any Sunset Overdrive console bundles either...game only (includes 3-month Xbox Live card with purchase). I was surprised. I suspect it got delayed possibly? They have had all X1 & PS4 console bundles on day1 in the past. Strange.

I don't think they are or will be carrying it. On the website it shows the COD and Assass. Creed Bundles for preorders. I would think even if it was delayed it would still show up. Oh well, I called MS store and they don't do price matching if the price drops, weird I know, so I will wait till next week and pick it up. Selling the digital copy anyway since I already purchased it.

That doesn't make any sense...sure, it's a mature (+17) rated game but so is COD & AC.

One right now option is Best Buy. You'll lose the 5% discount which sucks but I see the bundle readily available in my area and you know they will price match next week to save $50. Worst case scenario, buy & return same visit.

http://www.bestbuy.com/site/microsof...9005&st=sunset overdrive bundle&cp=1&lp=1

Also, I'm pretty sure someone already reported back on this forum that the MS Store will do the same thing if you have one nearby. Use the 5% text coupon discount onlysublime reported. They should honor that in-store as well - I hope.

I don't think that the MS Store sells them but they've started selling DD codes to e-tailers to sell (as Sony has had for PS3 and PS4 games for over a year), which are more likely to be discounted than digital downloads bought directly from MS as Sony codes have been discounted versus the PSN price from time to time.

Titanfall Season Pass is also on sale this time, $8.25 [instead of $25.00].

By next year, Titanfall is going to be in the EA vault. So it might be worth it to buy the Season Pass now but hold off on the game until next year if you have EA Access.

Some folks on NeoGaf have stated Titanfall is on the list of Games for Gold at some point in the future...this is internet rumor/conjecture however so, just passing along the rumor.......

Makes sense, since its multi-only....its destined for shutdown at some point (its not P2P is it?)......giving it away free gives it a new lease on life and a last-ditch effort to make money on DLC.......

Multiplayer-only titles are a curse upon gaming

Will the MS store accept ANY PS3 for the $100 trade in towards the Xbox One? I have the original 20 GB PS3 and I think it might be time to let it go!
