I jumped too - anyone know how long it takes Newegg to send out the codes?

Surprisingly Forza Horizon 2 for X1 was only $39.99 in MS store today. Hadn't seem that marked down before.

To answer my own question - digital code ordered on Newegg 12:19pm Eastern via Paypal, charge submitted and approved from PayPal at 2:31pm, code emailed at 2:40pm.

So... under 3 hours during business hours.

Not a fan of Ryse, wouldn't recommend it for anything more than $10....and then just for the pretty visuals. If you're expecting God of War....Final Fight..seriously any good beat em up, that Mordor game...this isn't it.
$20 is a rip, I paid $17 used and was disappointed. Shop S-Mart!

Drop that $20 on that Shadows of Mordor or that Dark Souls clone methinks....

To offer a dissenting opinion, I was a huge fan of Ryse and $20 is a great price for the Legendary Edition, which is the game plus Season Pass. Though brief, the story was great and the gameplay a lot of fun. I really enjoyed the Gladiator mode and played a ton of it. (God of War was a button pusher snore-fest; I'll never understand the critical acclaim that it garnered).

I couldn't get past the quick-time health-recoup/slow motion in every single battle, it just destroyed the feel of the game for me. Hence, my disappointment. Others may not mind at all, for me it was just one of those "no, no I can't dig this" moments.

Graphically, it's pretty, you won't go wrong there.

I do not know if Shadow of Mordor is a better game, I have not played it yet, but Ryse is a fun game. It is not great, but I was entertained throughout, and outside of some badly timed check points during the boss fights I thought the game was pretty good. Shadow of Mordor maybe a safer choice given the critical reaction, but both games seem to mimic the Batman combat style .

JustPressPlayOnline through Amazon is selling the Assassin's Creed Unity/Black Flag digital bundle for $34.95. I have never heard of seller, but they are on Amazon so I assume they have been vetted.

The first time through I actually went through 80% of the campaign without doing executions (on Normal, I think--I played through a 2nd time on Legendary which you can't do the first time through). Somehow I forgot that it was there after being taught it in the introduction. It's the only game I've played which auto-records clips and it records tons of them. I went back and played some of those clips and laughed my ass off; I'm hacking away, surrounded by guys with the little executable skulls above their heads and a full focus bar . So you don't have to invoke the quick-time mode and none of the boss battles let you use it.

Couldn't pass that up, just ordered a second Xbox for the bedroom. I got gta v as my free game because I wanted it but didn't want to pay for it again (got it on the 360).

Ya, I got the newegg codes the next am (as I ordered in the evening I think). They sent a $20 code and a $5 code separately. I might give my son the $5 code, so he can get he minecraft for Xbox One for $4.99 because he bought the 360 version.

As MichaelScott mentioned above, I thought that Ryse was the best launch game, and was an absolute graphical treat. Decent story, though some may say short, playing the game a second time on legendary really tested your patience and skill and was long enough for me. The game takes on another dimension in legendary difficulty. I though the cinematic cut scenes were top notch. I know that the slow motion execution animations may become tedious, but there was actually some real skill required to properly defend, Parle, and then subsequently attack. The importance of choosing to replenish a specific trait with executions made a huge difference in whether one was going to be successful in the fight. The bosses were tough until you figure out their moves. Then add in the multiplayer mode and it was some good fun. I met some good people, that taught me several tricks, which I then employed in the single player campaign. At the end, you need to like the Afro samurai, X-blades type of gameplay. I think Dante's Inferno is more the God of War clone.
