I jumped on Battlestations Midway. I loved this game when it came out. It's been $19.99 on the BC list forever and now it's under $5. Joy! Looking forward to getting time to look closer at the list.

Best Buy has The Witcher 3: The Wild Hunt Complete Edition for $24.95 (cheaper if you are in the Gamer's Club).

Amazon has Prey for $39.99.

Microsoft is giving the Xbox One S a $50 price cut ahead of the press conference. The price cut may not be permanent.

Amazon has Mass Effect Andromeda for $29.96.

I hate that game with a passion. And I bought it because self loathing is one of my hobbies.

Xbox One S Minecraft bundle for $199 by Newegg via Ebay: http://www.ebay.com/itm/292153685953

Free shipping and no taxes for many.

I do not even need another Xbox, and I am waiting for the X, but at this price, a no brainer. It is cheaper than most if not all 4K players, and the blu tooth controller is a bonus, as now I can play on the PC wirelessly without the adaptor.

I picked up Hitman; at $24.99 for the entire game it was a good value and the first few levels have been a lot of fun as I really like the deliberate, slow pace of the game. The way the game is structured also gives it a ton of replay value.

Dead Space 2 and 3 are also on sale for $6.99 each; I loved those games back in the day and have been trying to decide if they're worth buying again.

DS3 is more of a faster-paced action game than the Haunted House/Doom3 experience of the previous 2 games, but it is high quality. I must confess, I own it on 2 platforms (!) and have never put more than about 1/2 an hour into either Dead Space 3 game.....it just doesn't hook me right away (The first is epic, the second is still very solid), so I'm waiting for that one rainy day on a Tuesday at 1am when I'm committed to faking a sick-day the next morning, and DS3 will be there and for about 3-5 days I'll think it was the best $9.99 purchase I ever made......then I'll complete it on "normal" and never play it again, but you know, such is life....

EDIT: I just finished reading the post above, $6.99? I'm buying both....these are games worth playing-through slowly, having it on the HD makes sense.

just like it was fun to see the improvements of some 360 games on the One, I'm really excited and curious to see the improvements on the X. the conversion to 16x anistropic filtering, the faster loads, etc. at the system level. fantastic

Me too. Although I'm not sure how it'll work for games that come out b4 the X, like Destiny. Will it just upscle it to 4K? Unfortunately, it's 30fps. Motion blur w/ my Vizio P75 is horrendous on Destiny @30fps . Halo 5 looks flawless @60fps , so hopefully in the future most of them will be the higher frame rate.

I don't think it can change the framerate automatically. That has to be done to the game design via patch. They said for unpatched games, it's stuck to the previous framerate except that it can now always hit the frame rate with no drops.

But things like filtering and scaling can be done without any developer intervention and without any patch. I bet they're going to do some demos before the X release to demonstrate how it can improve 360 and Xbox One games without the need of any patches. Of course, without patching, there are no 4K assets like textures. But filtering alone should make a big difference. Most 360 games did 4X MSAA because it was essentially free. Now if you can automatically increase it to 16X with anisostropic filtering (which is superior to MSAA), it should look much nicer.

Did you try it with Clear Action on? I know there's flicker at first, but the eyes can adjust after a minute or two.

I play Destiny on my Vizio P50C-1. Looks good to me. Can't wait to see it on the X. Hopefully they do something. But anything would be a benefit. I don't plan on going on to Destiny 2. It looks like a DLC expansion...
