Spiderman, Simpsons Pinball Party, and Lord of the Rings. I have a Jurassic Park right now, it's pretty fun.

Don't remember Genie, but I'd take Addams Family any day over Jurassic Park. Jurassic Park was fun, but Addams Family was just a classic. (I believe still the top-selling pinball of all time?)

Oh sorry, thought you were asking which of those 3.

I guess my top selections would be Funhouse, Twilight Zone, Addams Family (all pretty equal to me), or one of the newer ones that I can't play on my computer anyway like Family Guy or 24 (haven't played either but like the licenses and the FG one is supposed to be pretty good).

Got mine preordered. I only own a Lethal Weapon 3 table which is in awesome shape and a nice and fast pin, but not popular. Recently I've been looking to upgrade to STTNG or possibly TZ.

I've got to cast a vote for the South Park Pinball machine. Absolutely one of the funniest and funnest pinball games I've ever played. Anal Probe anyone?

Amazon is saying the 22nd, Gamefly has been holding at the 23rd for a while, and Gamestop is saying the 15th.

My money would be on the 22nd or 23rd.

Sub-1080p/60fps is not next-gen.

Good news everyone: Gamefly shows the 360 version as "available now", and Amazon shows the pre-order as shipping on the 22nd @ $30.

Yeah, I have this for the Wii right now and my wife and I really enjoy playing it. I think I might have to get it for the X360 or PS3 for the HD visuals, though. The Wii version looks okay, but there's so much going on that the higher res will help, I think.

I've also screwed with Visual Pinball on my laptop so I can play Addams Family (another vote for this as the best of all time!), Twilight Zone, Tales of the Arabian Knights, Mars Attacks, etc. It isn't nearly as pretty, but it provides a surprisingly good reproduction of the real tables! Highly recommended to folks who miss some of their favorite tables.

Great news. I noticed gamespot had a review up as well.

Only bad thing for me is I ordered this through newegg.com which had the best preorder price, but they are showing that it wont ship out until the 30th....bummer. I would just cancel and go through Amazon and pay a bit more, but it looks like the Amazon preorder price is no longer. Oh well......

Beats me. It was reversed the last time I checked back on 8/24 (the 360 version was $37.99 while the PS3 was $29.99).

Is this actually coming out tomorrow?

Gamefly almost always has it available the day before release date to account for shipping times. They just changed the availability to "Low", so they are shipping something.

I would bet money it will be in retail tomorrow.

They had it in store at a local wal mart? It says online only on the Wal Mart web site.

It also says $29

Damn I want this game now!

Played it for about an hour or so and some of the tables are plain boring, I admit I am not a huge pinball fan but I do enjoy playing good tables every now and then. The game plays well and the ball reacts as it should 99.9% of the time. The interface is run of the mill arcade layout separated into 3 different areas to give it some character. It's honestly a silly addition and just makes the table selection process take that much longer while you wait to be transported to the next area of the arcade (if going for realism by having the tables located in different areas of the arcade then simply let me walk to each table... no?). Obviously that's just nit-picking and has nothing to do with game play but I mentioned it as it was slightly annoying . The game play is solid and some of the tables are a blast.

these are old tables. If you prefer something more contemporary, may I recommend the Extreme table in pinball fx? There you will find all the lousy hip hop and bells and flashy lights expected of a more modern table.

Old tables, new tables, it really doesn't matter as long as it's fun. I have played FX and it's fun but after playing this Williams collection it sure seems far less accurate, they did a really good job of making this digital image seem like real pinball. Buddy of mine has Simpson's and LOTR tables that I have played somewhat recently and the only thing I would say in comparison is the sounds are not as realistic as the real deal but again that's just another nit-pick (not meaning the actual game sounds as those tables are not in the Williams collection, meaning the ball movement related sounds).

All in all this is the most realistic 'digital' Pinball that I have played.

I have the PS3 version and noticed an issue, wonder if its on the 360 version too ?

Playing Black Knight trap the ball with the flipper and just keep holding it trapped.
On the PS3 version after a number of seconds
the flipper will often activate despite the button still being held?

I believe this has been traced to the PS3 wireless controllers not being able to produce a steady "button is still held down" signal with this game. I don't know if that's a controller protocol issue, or an issue with the game itself, but I don't believe it applies to the Xbox 360.

Anybody else having these controler issues with the PS3 version? I have this version coming from Amazon, but may send it back for the 360 version if this is a major gameplay issue.

Perhaps it's just anecdotal evidence, ala:
http://groups.google.com/group/rec.g...ed820e06ee4ebb

... But I had thought it was also appearing in review comments.
