I was a bit shellshocked at the cost of the game but I was wondering if anyone got it and how is the level editor? That's what really made Lode Runner fly. And I'm also wondering how the smaller level designs are affecting the game and designing levels. And can you share levels you create?
I was sure I would have bought it.. until I saw the price. I was very excited to see it was coming and would have bought it for 800 points without a peep. But since I felt MS was just being too greedy (as usual) I decided to just let my not buying it be a message to them.
I just don't understand how they don't price things a lot more cheaper and make more money by the VOLUME of sales vs the cost. If all those games where 400 points I think they would be better off. The new 1600 point 'standard' is killing the whole concept.
I purchased lode runner and think it is a great game. It is a very fast and frantic game. I am especially enjoying the multiplayer co-op part of the game. I have not tried the level editor yet.

I completely agree. This game is a lot of fun and is pretty challenging. I'm about halfway through the single player journey, have done about half the puzzles and have got bronze medals in most of the "hang-on" levels. Still alot left to do, but even without touching the editor or the online stuff, I have put more than a few hours in the game.
For $15 you get a lot of game, and IMO it's priced about right....
hahahahahahaha, you know how many times I have wished items would go on sale and they actually did????
any day now that character pack from Marvel Ultimate Alliance will be on sale....year or two later still waiting.
I would have picked this game up for $5 in a second. I'll have to forget about this one at the ridiculous price. Hell haven't even gotten Megaman or Bionic Commando at the $10 range. They think I'll pay $15 for a game that has been around for over a decade or two now?
for those that are interested in what the co-op gameplay is like. you actually have to work together. i always thought it was just a pair of guys running around. I also found flaws in the custom levels I made after actually playing it in co-op (will fix levels asap). I also showed the Last Man game mode
00:49 stage 1 level 1.
1:54 stage 1 level 2.
3:23 stage 1 level 3.
5:51 stage 1 level 4.
10:25 Stage 1 Bonus Room.
13:10 Last Man 2 player ruins.
15:54 custom level (level 4 of original lode runner).
19:10 custom level (the Helena level).
21:00 custom level (original level 1).
22:40 custom (original level 2).
23:36 custom (original level 3).
