I would call the AX720s bass heavy compared to the PC360s. Overall I would not call them bass heavy. I find the 720s sound signature to be pretty good for gaming. I prefer a gaming headset to have less bass than normal so I can pick up the game sounds more easily. This is why I like the open design of the 360s over the closed of the 720s.
I could see someone calling the 720s bass heavy if they didn't have a good point of reference. If you only listened to TV speakers and the such the 720s would seem to have a lot of bass. Since many here on AVS have some nice HT setups, that isn't usually the case. It is sometimes easy to forget that most people don't have large subwoofers in their homes or speakers that can approach 20-30hz.
