I need to pick up a new controller & like the looks of the silver one, but don't want the plug and play kit w/ it. Can't seem to find any without that kit so will probably just pick up a standard wireless.

I got one for Christmas. seems cool. other than the color and the d-pad no difference.

It comes with the plug and play kit, but also comes with a standard battery pack. they don't sell it separately from plug n play so if you don't want it just discard it.

A few responses in this thread when it was introduced around November timeframe. Most like it, I actually prefer feel of the flatter thumbsticks more than anything.

have you used it? the sticks are designed differently (the tops), they're a different shape and material... i could never use a white controller again.

No trees were harmed forming this post, though many electrons were inconvenienced.

I bought it today, played for about 2+ hours total. Not sure if it helps with FPS gameplay per se, it will take me a while to adjust my aiming. What I can confirm: much LESS Hand Fatigue. Usually after ~2 hours on an FPS (especially COD), my Left Hand starts to ache really bad; specifially my entire Thumb finger and knuckle, and the large muscle mass that attaches it too the hand. It usually begins to burn, needing Ibuprofen, but today it is OK. For me, the new controller is a huge improvement in comfort alone.

I've got some stuff.

i think if they sold this without the play and charge kit, they would sell a LOT more of them! most people don't want to dish out the extra $15 or so, for something that they don't plan on using, and get barely anything back on it if they decide to sell it...

^Play & Charge is useless to people like me who don't leave the 360 on all the time.

Not sure why it can't charge while the 360 is off, like the wireless MS mic does...

I've got some stuff.

My P&C charges just fine after the 360 is turned off, are you making sure it's plugged in before you shut down?

Mine charges just fine if I plug it in before powering down the system.

And you could always plug it into your PC if you leave it on all the time. And many cable boxes also include a powered USB port which is how I usually charge things like my controllers and mp3 player since it's always powered even when the box is in standby mode.

With my 360S, the power supply keeps running even after the 360 is "off" - you can hear the Fan blowing very distinctly. I'll try the USB Port on the back, where the Mic charges. If not, I'll try it on my FiOS STB (thanx for that tip!).

I've got some stuff.

I use rechargeable AAs and find it far more convenient than the Play-n-Charge system. I'd love to get the silver controller, but like the previous poster said it's a waste of $15 for me.

It looks like the transforming controller is coming back, now in new colors.

Notice they went back to the properly colored buttons.

They sure are pretty. Notice how the photographer used black flats while photographing the controllers.

The thing is, I already have a red and a blue (original Xbox 360 plastic) controllers. It was either the red or the blue that cost more than the other (I don't remember now...)

The chrome almost look like they would get slippery on the fingers after a while of playing. Then again, I don't know since I've never used them. Doesn't matter, I already have the colors I wanted. Along with the red and blue, I also have black and white. I don't think it would do me any good to have more than four controllers.

Movies must be OAR, sports and movies must also have 5.1 audio, No EE or NO SALE!
