Actually, I'm looking for some Arcade games as well. Got my first 360 today and it's got 250 gigs that need fillin'. I like plat-formers, they have any good ones?

Check out Bastion and Toy Soldiers. Both are great. And the best think about Arcade games is you can demo every one!

Toy Soldiers, Toy Soldiers Cold War, Trenched (soon to be renamed Iron Brigade), Dungeon Defenders, Orcs Must Die, South Park Tower Defense and Defense Grid! Notice a trend? Actually, there's not a bad tower defense game on the XBLA and there's even one or two good ones on the Indie games.

Pinball FX 2 (especially because three packs are on sale for $5 each this weekend, hopefully still), the first Bionic Commando (not the second), the Street Fighter and Marvel vs Capcom remixes, Castlevania Symphony of the Night (NOT Castlevania HD).

I love love love Splosion Man 1 and 2.

In my opinion, Shadow Complex could have been sold as a full $60 game and very few people would have complained.

I also love the board games Catan, Carcassone (though I'm terrible at it), and Ticket to Ride (ditto.)

I have a weakness for Boom Boom Rocket.

I'm so lazy that I hate to get up and change games, so I've bought a LOT of arcade games over the years and I go on and on (Prince of Persia, Portal Still Alive, etc.)

I bought the first one by accident and as long as you have local friends to play it with, it's great fun. My friends are actually obsessed with it, even though it won't give achievements to guest accounts.

I was obsessed with the first one too. The only game I've gotten 100% of the achievements on.

If you love a good arcade racer, be sure to consider Outrun Online Arcade. And do it soon since it's being delisted at the end of December due to Sega's license with Ferrari expiring. You won't be able to buy it after that (Although if you own it, you'll still be able to redownload it just fine)

Yes I think you still can. Also it usually goes on sale once or twice a year. I've seen it for 1/2 off.

For platformers (+ action platformers, + puzzle platformers) I like: Outland, Lara Croft: GOL, Briad, and I'm gonna have to say classic Joust ; )

N+ is great.

Other random genres, some of my favorites for OP:
Magic 2012 (card game)
Dishwasher: Dead Samuari (side scrolling action)
Torchlight (dungeon crawler)

Retro (great if you played back in day, and must play if you havent)
Bionic Commando Rearmed
Castlevania: SOTN
Rez HD

XBL : lowgn

Joust is delisted just like the rest of the Midway library. The only way to get it is via a download code on a older 12 month subscription card that was sold at Best Buy (There is also a code for Robotron 2084 which can easily be found on Ebay, but you're out of luck for any of the other Midway classics like Root Beer Tapper since there were never redemption codes available for those).

That's why if anyone has any interest in arcade racers, the Outrun series, or classic Sega games, they best decide if they want Outrun Online Arcade soon since it's being delisted after December 31st and won't be available to purchase afterwards. It's on sale right now and is $5 well spent.
